Just saw the comparison with Halo1. I dont think i'll even rent the conduit. After games like COD4, resistance2, farcry2 (which i play now) and soon Killzone2, the conduit will look and feel really old..

But i own both PS3 and Wii, for wii-only owners i guess is passable

Or for people who prefer good controls, and not to drive their avatars around like tanks with old school dual analogue.

PC and Wii>dual analogue.

Yes i agree, but even the controls good or bad is only an opinion. To tell you the truth i only played COD3 on the Wii and found the controls at first interesting but later i found them unreliable. I really wanted my dual analogue at some point in the game.  I was a FPS on PC fanatic, counter strike fanatic, and it took me a while to like the dual analogue controls. Now i like them better than mouse and keyboard. As i said its only opinions.

The controls on CoD3 were pretty bad, and uncustomizable. CoD:WaW is entirely different, much more customizable, like MoH2. The Conduit is going to push the customization even further.

There is your problem.

CoD 3 has horrid controls.

MP3, Medal of Honour Heroes 2, and COD5 are the current favourites for controls.... Even Red Steel is better than CoD 3 (except the sword control apparently)

Edit. Sorry, I had to do it.

ok i am pretty sure i experienced a bad example of the controls. hehhe

anyway nobody knows how the controls are, not until you guys play the game

Maybe because of developer experience ,size and budget.
Halo > Bungie which back up by MS (They start develop in 1999 and Microsoft acquired Bungie Studios in 2000.)
The Conduit > HVS which back up by....uh?Sega right?

Screenshot comparison :

HALO

Seriously i don't think it bad at all ,but if there're something that make a different between these games.

It's Wiimote+Nunchuck.(Add a Zapper if you want.)

I don't know what you're smoking but the Halo pics you've shown are NOT from Halo Combat Evolved.

That's maybe the old MAC version which was cancelled...

uh, visually The Conduit is quiet far ahead when compared to halo which was an old XboX title, don't let your eyes fool you when looking at the Halo screen shots by the effects, look at the environment detail, texture resolution, the bump mapping, the polygon count and the character models, The Conduit is miles ahead, I'm saying that and I'm a PC gamer lol. Stop trying to compare XboX titles to the New Wii titles that devs actually spent money on, the graphics of XboX can't keep up with them at all, it's a last gen system lol. What I do admit is that the lack of shader capabilities means devs would have to spend more time to get around the TEV to get the effects they want instead of just write custom ones which would have been easier, but that's about it. XboX doesn't nearly have the power of the Wii, Wii is just not as powerful as the 360 or PS3, and western devs haven't spent much time with it at all due to budget issues.

edit: btw the screen shots of Halo from the above poster has Beta Halo SS, those were not final production, don't know why he'd post that, the final game looked very different, I did play it after all =P.

I own a Wii and 360 and it is definitely passable for me.  And after playing MP3 and RE4 Wii, using a controller to aim seems so retarded that I don't think I can ever buy a shooting game on 360.

Seriously? Those halo shots aren't even from the final version, rather seem to be some sort of earlier version.

@Barozi: scrolling through quoted pics is annoying.

And?  I'm running Crysis on Very High with playable frame rates and I'm still getting The Conduit day one.

The rEVOLution is not being televised

Why do people even bother with this thread? It's a troll topic started by a ps3 fanboy. And just to put the argument to bed, i'm no expert but looking at those screenshots it's plain to even the blindest of fanboys that the conduit screenshots are far and away more impressive than the Halo ones.

Yes man, of course you are getting it day 1..you are a fan of the controls. I am not. I didnt said anything bad for the game. I am used to HD graphics and physics. As i said in another thread it better have good controls and storyline or it has nothing.
