Forums - Nintendo - I'm really excited about Wii in 2009! What expectations do you guys have?

Naturally, we can see that SEGA are stepping up to lend some great 3rd party support, as well as some companies providing some promising stuff (Capcom, Namco).

But what I'm the most excited about is the prospect of Nintendo themselves releasing some of their franchise games! I really hope Punch-Out!! turns out as awesome as it looks so far, for example.

I think Pikmin 3 is pretty much a given for 2009. I also think the next Zelda is very likely for 2009 (although I can see that a lot of other people seem to have differing opinions about that). Besides that, as with every year, I'll be hoping for Star Fox and F-Zero. Will I get none of them, one of them, or both? Nobody knows, but considering they've given some off-hand remarks regarding Star Fox Wii as far back as 2006, and also factoring in that the latest game in the franchise, Star Fox: Command, was also released in 2006 (unless I'm remembering it wrong...), I think a Star Fox Wii for 2009 is highly likely! But perhaps I'm deluding myself.

Regardless, I'm very excited to see what Nintendo has in store for us all! For the first(and perhaps second) quarter, however, Sega will be the ones satisfying my gaming needs. I'm definitely planning on buying MadWorld, The Conduit and Sonic and the Black Knight.

Here's to good gaming experiences! *cheers*

I´m excited about both the Wii and PS3 lineups this year...talking specifically about the Wii, last year there were only 2 games that interested me (SSBB and Mario Kart)...but this year, this number has already tripled, so far.

Do not expect Zelda this year, it goes to 2010 for sure. Pikmin 3 is a given this holiday season, but I have never played that franchise. I am not really interested in Punch Out, but I am lookin' forward to titles like Fragile, The Conduit, MadWorld and Fatal Frame 4. This year is gonna be better than the last one ( in fact, is imposible than anything in the world may be worse than Wii 2008 lineup ).

Sonic and the Dark Knight is first on my list. I can guarantee that I will like it more than Secret Rings since I use the joystick to move Sonic.

MadWorld, the Conduit, Arc Rise Fantasia, Fragile, Sonic and the Black Knight, Pikmin 3, and Dead Rising are just a few to name of what I'm buying this year.

i'm not really thinking much about this years lineup (aside from little kings story and pikmin 3) because i'm still playing all the games i got for christmas, and i'm making a list of a lot of already released games that i'm interested in, such as tales of symphonia, animal crossing (belive it or not, i do actually want it), wario land, shake it, (some sidescroller shotter i forgot the name of where you can build the ships, enemies, and levels out of shape and put them on the internets) and no more heroes.

agreed on Zelda.  You've gotta play Pikmin, twas the best new ip on gamecube imo, and one of the top 3 games I've played on gamecube last gen, it's amazing!

I still haven't played part 2 so I'll probably get that when it's rerealeased. I'm pysched!  STOKED!

pikmin if done right could be rediculosuly popular on wii. as well as a solid singleplayer for the core you as in 4 player local and online multiplayer (including co-op) and you got an awesome casual game as well

The Wii's lineup this year looks ridiculously great--especially compared to last year's.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?
