There are two explanations for this: either everyone is wrong or you haven't read the OP correctly.

Hint: it doesn't say anything about First Day, so everyone is posting lifetime sales

Japan: 300k - 400k
America: 700k - 800k
Others: 800k - 1 million

X360:
Japan: 60k - 80k
America: 1.5 - 1.7 million
Others: 600k - 750k

In Japan PS3 games always at least 5x more than Xbox360 (except west game
In America Xbox360 games always 2x more than PS3
In Others PS3 games (except shooter) always 20% more than Xbox360

all i know is in europe and japan, the ps3 version will sell more than the 360 version but in america the 360 will sell more but overall it will be equal between the both.
