Forums - Website Topics - Awesome Predictions for LBP's success (sarcasm)

So I guess quoting people is now trolling? Also, when I click on the linked thread it just pulls up a new thread (doesn't show the old thread)

Yeah. People tend to get banned or posts gets locked when they are having similar "good fun" to what you are having. Most people make an irrational prediction occasionally but calling specific people out for their prediction of a certain game is more of trolling then having "fun."

Why is that trolling? He wasn't insulting them personally, calling them stupid or anything. Don't be such a wet blanket. If someone is so deranged as to claim LBP will stomp Brawl and SMG in sales, let them receive a chiding on an internet message board forum. I'm sure their credability in life (assuming they had some previously) will survive this little on slaught. Sheesh, you can't even hold people to their own words anymore.

Let the flamewars commence

That practically says "I'm going to rub this in peoples faces and I want them to argue." ;)

How do you come to that conclusion?

1 I will take some peoples best wishes for a game they really like.

2 I will put them on display and rub their noses in it.

3 This will be warmly received by all.

Was it something like that, cuz that there is flawed.

1. They didn't "wish" those sales, that would be saying "i hope LBP sells well." What they were doing was predicting: "I see this game beating Super Mario Galaxy"

2. I'm not rubbing their noses in it. it's just fun to read because hindsight is 20/20

3. No, this is exactly what I expected would happen.

"Pier was a chef, a gifted and respected chef who made millions selling his dishes to the residents of New York City and Boston, he even had a famous jingle playing in those cities that everyone knew by heart. He also had a restaurant in Los Angeles, but not expecting LA to have such a massive population he only used his name on that restaurant and left it to his least capable and cheapest chefs. While his New York restaurant sold kobe beef for $100 and his Boston restaurant sold lobster for $50, his LA restaurant sold cheap hotdogs for $30. Initially these hot dogs sold fairly well because residents of los angeles were starving for good food and hoped that the famous name would denote a high quality, but most were disappointed with what they ate. Seeing the success of his cheap hot dogs in LA, Pier thought "why bother giving Los Angeles quality meats when I can oversell them on cheap hotdogs forever, and since I don't care about the product anyways, why bother advertising them? So Pier continued to only sell cheap hotdogs in LA and was surprised to see that they no longer sold. Pier's conclusion? Residents of Los Angeles don't like food."

"The so-called "hardcore" gamer is a marketing brainwashed, innovation shunting, self-righteous idiot who pays videogame makers far too much money than what is delivered."

No, I was predicting myself being attacked

How can there be a flame war with 1 person involved?

I am not really angered by anything in here. I just figured I'd attribute to the flame war. Although, I do consider calling them out as a bad thing, it's not really my place to complain. Those who made the statements might feel a little offended but that's their perogative to report or argue their point on it.

Awwww snap, son! Those predictions was snizzy dizzle wiggy wack, yo!

mZuzek loves Smeags. 😢

LBP still sold pretty well...wasnt on the level of Mario Galaxy and all but still sold well around 1.9 million at the moment...I must say its pretty lame you putting people on blast or "trolling" wateva....your probably young minded anyways grow up

a. You are in the wrong forum for this.
b. It's disrespectful to call out single site members by name just to say they are wrong.

Don't we have a completly endoresd Crow eating thread to do just that?

Either way... the interesting part is i wouldn't really call those people fanboys and they were just actual bad predictions.

How was OP "sarcasm"???

Do you even know what sarcasm means?
