yeah, but if you use Standard 1 like I am then you won't have to worry about toggle crouch. I'll always be used to the PC hold crouch and toggle zoom. I also think Sniper will work better with toggle zoom, but I can't remember what d-pad up is in multiplayer but I'm pretty sure it does something (as opposed to single player where d-pad up can be alternate zoom as you'll need for sniper rifle if you only use hold zoom).
I can deal with it in singleplayer, but I'd prefer to have toggle crouch in multiplayer regardless of what the controller configuration is.
They had playable multiplayer back in 2006 and it still looked decent then. Here are two IGN developer diaries.

Yes, but I was merely countering the position that using the standard configuration means the toggle wouldn't be needed as much as if somebody was using alternate 2.
I'd prefer to a crouch toggle and zoom toggle no matter what the configuration.

I know how they sound, and I don't like it at all, completely different to our accent. It's almost as if they were two different languages
