Once again IGN rears its irrational head. Left 4 dead overall nominee? GTA best sound? crap.

But in the end I gotta agree with Fallout 3. At least it didn't go to GTA. Metal Gear had the most hype behind it though and I'm really surprised it didn't get the nod.

At least MGS4 won the gamers choice award tho... that means real gamers know what there talking about not the stupid editors of IGN.
Hows people feeling about there being no wii nominees for GOTY?

Can't really argue with the lack of Wii nominees. Aside from brawl and world of goo (which is a pc port) it didn't release anything worth mentioning for goty in the core audience standpoint. Never forget that IGN is a core audience site. They pretty much trash anything casual (look at what they said about Wii Music). Anyway I agree with them completely.

For most of them, i agree with the Reader's choice. Especially GOTY

I aint really heard a good thing about wii music tho since its release... and wouldnt you say that LBP is a pretty casual game? For once i dont think IGN is being biased. although on some of the awards things look odd.
still... on the site poll they have a "Which Game of the Year nominee do you think should have won?" poll. as you can probably guess MGS4 is way out in front by around 10%. leading with 40% with Fallout at 29%. just goes to say they should use a voting system for next years nominees

I like IGN's reviews, but their GoTY awards are nonsense. How can MGS4 be best PS3 game, best PS3 action game and not best action game?
