there is not question it will outsell 360 especially in europe and japan.
but i doubt the will cut the price for a while they at least be selling the ps3 even with the price cut added.

The least smartest thing Sony could do is to start a price war with Microsoft or Nintendo.

But I do think the PS3 would outself the 360 if all other circumstances remained the same and the PS3 was priced at $300. Sony and the Playstation brand have massive appeal and recognition, but in economic uncertainty, brand allegiance starts to deminish.

I'm not a fanboy, I just try to tip the balance in favor of logic and common sense.

It won't outsell the Wii, lets be realistic, price cuts are a double edged sword they provide a burst of sales but sometimes its seen as a product that is of lower value.

Bet between Slimbeast and Arius Dion about Wii sales 2009:

If the Wii sells less than 20 million in 2009 (as defined by VGC sales between week ending 3d Jan 2009 to week ending 4th Jan 2010) Slimebeast wins and get to control Arius Dion's sig for 1 month.

If the Wii sells more than 20 million in 2009 (as defined above) Arius Dion wins and gets to control Slimebeast's sig for 1 month.

If PS3 is dropped to $299,I will buy it instantly.
I even want to buy it now with Killzone 2 coming up.
I own a 360 and the 2009 line-up of it does not look attractive at all.
I am currently playing GOW2 but the game is full of lag and glitches.
I hope there will be more big titles announced for 360 or else I will be buying a PS3 for Killzone2 and Uncharted 2.

well lets hope for a price cut in 09¡¡¡but i think that with the current sony situation is a little hard lets hope they finaly cut the productions costs of the ps3 and they stop losing money so that they can give us a price cut¡¡. but all that in 09 is like impossible.
