Also... this is just me. I'd map attack to the A button....

Then when in Musou mode switch to first person and use the swinging for powerful musou attacks.

Saves your hands and gives you a more immersive intense expierence when in the heat of it.

Samurai Warriors 2 Extreme Legends is listed at 360K.

It's basically an expansion of Samurai Warriors 2... adding a couple more characters and modes.

That makes sense. I had never played any of the games but I have heard the name a few times. And I definitely phrased my first post in here like a jackass. Sorry I didn't mean to come off that way lol.

For further info... it appears Samurai Warriors 1 sold 1 million... in Japan alone.

No clue what Samurai Warriors 2 sold.  Probably a decent amount close to that if it could do 360K in it's spinoff.

Agreed. And I forgot to mention SW seems much less repetitive than DW too!

Well that's because it actually has different enemy types.

What's funny is my girlfriend and I just started a new game in Samurai Warriors right before i read this thread.

 



Funny How I Am playing Samurai Warriors 2 Empires just as we speak.

If it's anything like Samurai Warriors: Katana, then no wonder nobody is talking about it.  That was the worst game I've ever seen (there's alot of other shovelware I'd rather play).  After my experience with Katana, I'm not about to touch anything else in the series.



OUTLAWAURON, YUO THINK sw3 it´s gonna be a little better than SW katana or SW2, I just want use as example COD3 and COD5 for WII, the diference is enormous, looks like games for diferent systems, it´s a question of effort and dedication. That´s why i think SW3 will be a lot better, if we talk about Argument of the game ever is the same: Japanese war on feudal period, meanwhile Dinasty Warriors is about Romance of Three kingdoms, and i don´t know why you said the story of the game is bad, because both are incredible extent, and every game just take some fragment from theirs timelines, it´s almos imposible take many books in a game, remember that Romance of three kingdoms games contains more segments form the books, but it´s a lot bored (and I said that being a RPG fan).

HALIL23: I agree, the game should have a optional gameplay like No more heroes, but remenber that´s not necesseary use all your strength in move the cntroller, it´s better be acurrated.

KASZ216: SW it´s a good seller, Wii version don´t sell so much like SW1 because in that moment the systems sold was short, now the instaled base it´s bigger and sales too.

I'm saying that Koei's iterations of their franchises do not change to much from year to year. They add some characters, flair of the grpahics, and maybe switch up the scenarios but the core gameplay stays the same. Kenbu did have some change from DW 5 to DW6 but that's the exception, not the rule.

Although, I know story quality is subjective and I do not think any of Koei DW, SW, or RotTK games have good stories. You play for the fun and addictive gameplay. You like them, awesome. You won't convince me unless I'm proven wrong while playing.

Also the real reason Katana didn't sell was because it was nothing like 1 and 2.... it was an on rails game to my knowledge.

Indeed most warriors game iterations have more changes than most action or sports game series, its just that reviewers hate em so they play it on easy and say nothing has changed and all you do is press x a million times to beat a stage. That said I hope this game is good, but I can't get it because I dont have a wii so unfortunately it seems I will have to go without one of my favorite series after waiting so long... : /
