actually i have to agree with this guy. Granted I think Killzone 2 may be one of in not THE best FPS released so far, there is still a big problem around this game.

It looks fantastic and some of the gameplay mechanics sound unique but seeing the endless threads saying K2 has better graphics than Crysis!!! And K2 is going to change everything for the ps3!! is really starting to hurt the image of the game to me because i realize neither one of those things are going to happen because of K2. Graphically its in all probability the best console game realeased but remember graphics aren't everything. Also while i think it will certainly give the ps3 a boost for perhaps a week maybe 2 it will not make near the impact games like FFXIII and GT5 will

If you want to look at the thread titles, maybe. However, if you look into a 'Killzone 2 looks better than Crysis' thread on this site, you'll see that MANY people don't agree and that includes those who are interested in Killzone 2.

we don't know that yet, the game it yet to be released also halo 3 got hyped and it didn't move the FPS forward either.

they just put up  everything together. with not so good graphics.

In all honesty, I don't think Killzone is being over-hyped. I know there are fringe elements that claim it is better than Crysis or the best FPS ever, but I don't think that is the general consensus among the PS3 owners. To sum it up properly, we are excited about the prospects of Killzone being a good game.

In all fairness, Xbox owners would be doing the same thing if KZ 2 was exclusive to their system.

You would see so many threads going like 360 more powerful than PS3, all PS3 owners will migrate to 360, best game ever, etc.

My take (as if it is worth much) is that it is one thing to talk up a game to large degree, say you are excited about it and look forward to it. Same with saying that the game deserves to be look at, and you feel it would be awesome. It is another thing to do messages like this that were in the original article this thread talks about below. When you talk like this, you are engaging in counterproductive promotion of a game. Calling people garbage you disagree with, and demanding people call the game, "best game ever" or "best FPS ever" and stating that it is obvious do little to effectively promote and hype a game. And throw in some fragging the 360 for points. It all shows signs of someone who wants KZ2 to be FAR more than just a great game, or even Game of the Year candidate.

LOL I love to see how xbox360 fanboys are so jealous and so nervous. now I can see xbox360 fanboys playing halo3 and gears2 crying for killzone2 screaming ” but teh attach rate” “but teh price” and xbox360 journalist fanboys saying “but Killzone2 don’t move systems” “but killzone2 is not going to convert xbox owners” “but killzone2 is too gamey” please you journalist fanboys are an embarassement for the gaming industry.

Oh dear Dan Landis, your article has really caused a stir. Well done for that at least. The article sucks though - bringing a game that is the best in it’s class down to a level of mediocrity.

That’s what has riled 99% of people here. Killzone 2 is something very special, anyone looking at it can see that.

You really should get that Xbox out of your butt and face facts - the Xbox is starting to look a bit dated.

KZ2 will be the best console shooter period, it will eclipse Halo 3, better than COD4 and its an exclusive to PS3 —- XBOX 360 will just RROD when they hear KZ2 playing !!!!

I agree with OP but I really can't see that this title is more hyped than SSBB was, for instance. We'll survive, I'd rather read details on KZ2 gameplay than another Sony bankrupcy/loss/upheaval thread tbh, its pretty much covered already.

From that perspective, it would be like running a marathon, and then tripping over your feet within 100 yards from the finish line.

you are questioning a game you haven't played, and I've played for over 100 hours.

I mentioned some things it did different, you ignore it (hence the troll claim).  I said the execution of everything it does, the small part I know from the beta, is done very well and better than other games.  That includes the warzone mode, aiming, weapons, voice chat, options to create servers, unlocking abilities by having some tough tasks, a rather unique implementation of the Saboteur class, a great team dynamic with the different classes and different modes, and nice weapons.  I like that it used FF, but I'm afraid that option will be off by default in the final game.  It's not my job to list every fact about the game, though  I've played a lot of games, and KZ2 is a very good game to me.  If you like team-based online play, then KZ2 is a fantastic game.

It really doesn't matter what I say, though, you don't seem to want the game to be good.  Despite people telling you it's good that have played it, you believe you know better.  I do wonder why you assume it to be bad, though, just because it has very nice production values.
