Dear Internet: Quit Overhyping Killzone 2

My take (as if it is worth much) is that it is one thing to talk up a game to large degree, say you are excited about it and look forward to it. Same with saying that the game deserves to be look at, and you feel it would be awesome. It is another thing to do messages like this that were in the original article this thread talks about below. When you talk like this, you are engaging in counterproductive promotion of a game. Calling people garbage you disagree with, and demanding people call the game, "best game ever" or "best FPS ever" and stating that it is obvious do little to effectively promote and hype a game. And throw in some fragging the 360 for points. It all shows signs of someone who wants KZ2 to be FAR more than just a great game, or even Game of the Year candidate.

and what is the same about it? ur presented with the best looking game on any console, a beasty multiplayer, and a feel unlike any other in any FPS genre. LOL I love to see how xbox360 fanboys are so jealous and so nervous. now I can see xbox360 fanboys playing halo3 and gears2 crying for killzone2 screaming ” but teh attach rate” “but teh price” and xbox360 journalist fanboys saying “but Killzone2 don’t move systems” “but killzone2 is not going to convert xbox owners” “but killzone2 is too gamey” please you journalist fanboys are an embarassement for the gaming industry.

Oh dear Dan Landis, your article has really caused a stir. Well done for that at least. The article sucks though - bringing a game that is the best in it’s class down to a level of mediocrity.

That’s what has riled 99% of people here. Killzone 2 is something very special, anyone looking at it can see that.

You really should get that Xbox out of your butt and face facts - the Xbox is starting to look a bit dated.

KZ2 will be the best console shooter period, it will eclipse Halo 3, better than COD4 and its an exclusive to PS3 —- XBOX 360 will just RROD when they hear KZ2 playing !!!!
