most likely they will reuse the gta 4 engine. add some stuff in the game etc.... gta 5 should be out 2009/2010

You think GTA on DS will be bigger than GTA IV? You do realize that there's a small gap inbetween the PS360/PC combo and the DS hardware-wise, right? I'm not gonna say it won't be better though, anything will be a step up from GTA IV in that regard imo.

This year already? hmm for that to be even possible I think it will be one for the Wii not on PS360 wich I think would take longer to develop for, unless they started the development 1 year before GTAIV's release.

Not GTA5, some GTA title with a subline in it. My bet would be GTA for Wii.

@Scottie: Maybe that was what Okey was thinking about.

@Mummelmann: There's a big difference indeed, but in the end we are talking about the choice in design. Nothing prevents Chinatown Wars from being bigger and better game than GTA4, but it's just not visually as impressive.

I said GTA won't go PS3 exclusive, I didn't say Rockstar wouldn't create a new PS3 franchise which is what that article said.
Perhaps you should read your own article before you link it next time. How anyone could connect "NEW PS3 exclusive franchice" to the GTA series has as many rocks in their head as someone who thinks Rockstar can afford to take their biggest franchise back to being exclusive on a console with the lowest install base.

If its going to be an exclusive to any system it will be Microsoft and the 360

Why? Who is in the position to shell out money right now? not Sony .. and since when have they on any third party game recently. Please don't say "well R* will put it on the PS3 withouy Sony having to pay" ... have you seen the lead the 360 GTAIV has over the PS3 version? no company would turn that profit away.

What with Microsoft having the 2 DLC episodes under their belt we already know Microsoft will pay for GTAIV and R* will accept.

 

With all that said. The next GTAIV will not be exclusive to any system IMO ... to think it would be exclusive to the PS3 is absurd .. you're living in lala land Markers ...

i wouldn't doubt it remember gta4 was supposed to come out fall of 07 i to was surprised wen vice city came out so fast

Definitely no GTA V
Could be a rip off though. GTA *insert fictional city name*

But with all the work they have with the two 360 DLC episodes, even that seems unrealistic.
