I really don't see this game doing so well in Japan. Of course considering that it turns out to be good in first place.

It seems so western, something like Oblivion. There is no blond preteen boy with naked belly (lol), just art, visuals, everything we have seen look to be targeting western market.

So what do you expect from this game? How good will it perform in Japan?

Not much if it does 100k first week they should be happy.

I think 100k lifetime in Japan is going to be an achievement.. i m thinking more like 40 - 60k first week and 100k lifetime.

I think it actually might bomb hard. With Sony's recent lack of advertisement coupled with -as the OP stated- what looks to be a very western style game, I don't forsee great sales for the title.

I wont be disappointed by its performance since I have no expectations for it.

i doubt it'll sell a lot.. it hasn't been impressive outside of a cgi trailer lol.

It'll sell around 150k. It is a JRPG, even if it is a Western JRPG. Even if it's a crappy Western JRPG, it's still a JRPG.

That game looks so terrible...
