you would have to prove they intentionally targetted the UN because they were the UN. that there were no militants acting in the area...the building wasnt being used for inappropriate purposes...it wasnt an accident....etc

pretty much you would need to prove they their thought process was like this: "stupid fucking UN...cant do their god damn jobs and just want to protect those fucking terrorists....well fuck them, ill blow the fucking shit out of them"

You do realize that those militants could have just as easily forced their way into the compound without the UN allowing them to do so there. Also there's still the matter of the warehouse fires. Also what's stopping someone from bombing UN HQ and then just passing it off as an accident?

ok...?  if they take over/hide out/use as storage/etc  a UN compound/warehouse/outpost/offices/etc  then its a valid target.

when things get hit by bombs there is a chance of fire.  if your making some comment about white phosphorous... the ICRC said it hasnt been used inappropriately, so ill stick with that at the moment.

actually from what i saw on the news, thats almost exactly what they did, the Israel defense minister told channel 4 news (UK) that the Israelis thought theyre were hamas in the UN HQ so they shelled it, when the UN told them that hamas wasnt there, the Israelis shelled them again, so they did intentionally shell the UN HQ

if the UN said something you can be pretty sure its the opposite.

If the Isearlis keep out international reporters you can be sure they are fucking up in Gaza.
