you were wrong about the Japanese sales and you'll be wrong here too. BTW you should know what other games this one is like and who they appeal to and how much they sold in the west.

I don't think that SO4 will make the million. SO3 "only" made 1,3M on the PS2 (550k in japan alone!). So according to those numbers, I think it's pretty weird to believe that SO4 will be able to reach it.

WKC will easily make it, here is why:

- japan (probably around 450k-500k in da pocket)
- online: popular in west
- RPG: popular for ps3 owners.

Really, shows what you know. Apart from these "spikes" (which will be few and far between) the legs stand a chance of being double what it would have on the 360, so insted of it selling 800 it could sell 1600 a week. Thats how unimportant Japan will be to both these games getting to a million.

Okay questions for those saying WKC doesnt have western release date yet. What would you say i it turns out to be may. (which 4-5 months is reasonable for Level 5)

I don't see Star Ocean passing 1 million before WKC simply because of the past success of JRPGs on the 360 plus the lack of JRPGs on the PS3. Plus look at the games and downloadable content hitting the 360.

the week before release, Street Fighter IV and GTA DLC , and a week or so after the release of Star Ocean is Halo Wars and RE5. Unless SE hits hard on the advertising of Star Ocean just before release, it could get swallowed by great games and effect sales.

Given the crap Square is releasing, WKC probably.

I don't think WKC has a very good chance. In Japan, it's likely to top out around 400,000 to 450,000, but in NA and Europe I could see an Eternal Sonata class bomb. Unknown IP combined with a genre that hasn't been very popular in the west recently on a console with an unproven JRPG base. But then, I don't really see SO4 doing it either. I guess it does have the userbase advantage as well as being a known property.

i think that so4 has a better chance just because a have not heard basicaly anthying about wkc but if microsoft were to bundle lo it would easily cross that mark

Depends on the quality of the games but so far SO4 seems more likely.

I didn't consider the 360 release at the time. LO released at a good time b/c nothing else big was releasing, but this February is quite crowded.
