Forums - Gaming - does anyone think the next "dead or alive" game will go on 360/ps3?

after seeing tekken and virtua fighter series make the move onto the 360, do u think since tecmo merged with koei. that they will put the next dead or alive game now on both the 360 and ps3, to increase its sales or do u think it will remain on the 360 just like 3 or 4 did? i think since they merged and now will have a new team making any future doa games that they will be put onto both systems. what do u guys think about this.

Who knows what they'll do now that Itagaki is gone. He loved maximizing the quality of a title on one system rather than doing the multiplat crap. Ninja Gaiden will go downhill from here and be casualized too.

thats true, i hope that m$ hires him and his staff that left tecmo and form a studio and just support m$.

I believe it was PS2 exclusive to begin with, so I think it can go multiplat.

Ninja Gaiden will probably remain exclusive, though. 360 gets NG, PS3 gets Quantum Theory.

Business wise there is no reason to not put the game on PS3, multi-plat is just the safer option for a franchise like this which is not huge. DQ, FF, Tekkan, SF would do fine as exclusives but not a small one like Dead or Alive.

I'd say it's got about as much chance as Final Fantasy Versus XIII

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

Ninja Gaiden was already once released  on ps3. I wouldn't be suprised if they made it again in the future.

I've been expecting it to go multiplat.

I think it will.

It's never been known as an exclusive franchise really? I know 360 had the past few but I remember playing it on the Dreamcast at one point lol.

It'd be maybe good news for me, hard to not see it overshadowed by Tekken 6 and Street Fighter IV.

Dead or Alive was not a PS2 exclusive, the original was a Ps1/Saturn/Arcade title and the second of the series was on both the Dreamcast and PS2. It only moved into exclusive territorry after Microsoft struck a deal with Tecmo.

There is no reason to see the DOA series remain an exclusive unless Microsoft feels it is neccessary, but seeing as how they now have Tekken in their stable I doubt this will be the case.
