This game is the successor, of sorts, to system shock 2 - one of the most critically acclaimed PC games ever. Bioshocks score shouldnt be that surprising.

While I have some concerns over the variety of enemies, the game looks otherwise amazing. Lets hope it silences at least a few of the people that still insist Halo 3 will be the only good game for the box this year.

I have a bet with Game_boy about this vs. Metroid Prime 3, it should be interesting to see how they compare.

I hope they announce this game for the PS3 soon. It sounds awesome, but I don't have a 360 yet (waiting for hardware issues to get sorted out).

Was the bet sales or reviews?  Either would be a good bet, considering Prime's track record (3rd best rated game of all time) and Bioshock's ingenious unique design.

Reviews... I wouldn't bet on Bioshock's sales because it's also on PC and because Metroid Prime 3 is part of a successful franchise on console that has sold millions, I have absolutely no expectations of Bioshock outselling Metroid Prime 3.  (Maybe combined PC/360 sales might be worth looking at?)

Edit - Heh... sorry... I'm ultra-psyched about this game, probably more than I have been for any other ever. System Shock 2 left me begging for more, and this game also carries with it a lot of what I hope the industry will start to take up in terms of creative design and trying new ideas.

Prediction: Wii passes 360 in US between July - September 2008. (Wii supply will be the issue to watch, and barring any freak incidents between now and then as well.) - 6/5/08; Wow, came true even earlier. Wii is a monster.
