Forums - Gaming - How much is each console worth to you?

A: £250 - £300. I'd have happily paid more for my Wii. I think £300 is cheap compared to Christmas 06 Ebay prices.

B: £80-100. I think this is reasonable for a media centre extender. The games/controls don't interest me.

C: £150-£180. Same as 360 plus ~£70 for a blu ray player.

D: Gaming PC. £800-£1000. Components plus £200- £400 extra for access to games library, controls and complete freedom.

200 for every console

Wii - 300 €
360 - 200 €
PS3 - 150 €

a) $300. Refused to get an European one, so there was some extra cost for the shipping and customs. I wouldn't really value it that high now, but since I never owned a GC, it was good for playing some of those titles as well.

b) $200, with the $20 hdd from MS. I nicked the component cable from my brother's elite. I only value it for the JRPGs. Drive is too loud (good for hdd installs), the controller isn't comfortable for me, and I don't like the looks.

c) $400, bought it at that and no regrets.

However, I play on the PS2 and DS more than on whichever of the three above.

A.) $200 - $299. Good value for the Wii and it's best days are still to come. $250 is just right.

B.) $200-$299. Good, competitive price. The games are there. Not the arcade model.

c.) $300-$399. Theoretically speaking, if Sony was in a position in which they could drop the price to $300 for a PS3. It would ensure a strong competition for the 360. I'd pay $350 if the system also had BC.

Being an owner of alll thing, this is how I value them!

Also I know I am not doing what Words of Wisdom asked, but I cannot pretend like I don't own them.

A) Wii - $299 - Exactly what I paid for, a little more than most people, meaning it lived upto expections
B) 360 - $399 - Exactly what I paid for the Elite, meaning it lived upto expectations. (truth be told, this console has passed original expectations, and my original expectations weren't huge)
C) Ps3 - Below $299 - Paid $499 for the MGS4 bundle, meaning it didn't live upto expectations.

Ps3 expectations - Lots of JRPG, and I mean a lot. (See my ps2 collection)

PS3 - $350. Just a tad too expensive right now.

So you're disappointed with the PS3? Or maybe you bought it at a discount.

A) $270 (200€) - My father won a Wii in a lottery at work. I wanted to buy it off from him, but he refused =(
B) $500 (380€) - That was the price of my 360 back then in 2007. (No RROD)
C) $425 (315€) - I only have my PS3 for a few days, but I only bought it now (before the price drop - lol) , because of the weak £.

Pixel Art can be fun.

Wii: $300 - Love it. May be the only console I'll ever buy.
360: $100 - Maybe for Fable 2, Mass Effect and Fallout 3 but I'd rather have them all on PC. If I do get a new PC I wouldn't play 360 at all.
PS3: <$100 - Don't care about blu-ray, Home or any of the exclusives so it'd have to be cheaper than the 360 to even be considered.
