If ssj12 is really speaking in truth I say we should then wonder why Gamespot made the change from "played" to "sold".

If we can get proof that it was "played" at first of course.

Did anyone check Gamespot forums to see if anyone else brought up that same point DMJ did?

Euphoria - Id assume it has to do with gamespot person not wanting to be there (or being lazy). I ean read what he posted compared to the other 2 live bloggers. the gamespot one was bare minimum paraphrasing with the other two actually going in detail and quoting kaz

The Gamespot is the only one I read and the same one I based all my ideas on.

Just the fact that I found all that shit wrong with it when compared to what many here think as well as VGChartz numbers being way out of whack when going by what these same people think, it is enough to make your head spin.

I'll read the others. Seems like it just may end up being almost exactly what I was thinking, old numbers or end up being what you, DMJ and some others think, that he said "play" and not "sold".

As of right now though, it is very hard to bring up a good enough argument to support it being overtracked because that means throwing VGChartz under the bus. I just can't see people who frequently visit this site admitting that VGChartz not only overtracked LBP by 500k, but also to overtracking PS3 and PSP by more like 2M+ seeing as how we already have them at 1.4M beyond what they shipped. (According to some in this thread)

Anything other than "played" or old numbers just seems insane to me.

Euphoria - I am absolutly positive it isn't shipped like Starcraft suggests because GFK, Famitsu, and NPD would all be way over tracking too. Considering at the end of Nov. those sources put LBP at about 900k... which at that point I'm sure they would have had to of shipped more than 1.3million considering holidays were about to hit.

The old numbers that were used were used before LBP was out.

That whole arguement is silly... they used old numbers for that... (which are the last investor numbers so it makes sense... since they don't want to give away how close or far they are from hitting their goals.)

So they must be using, old... but not as old LBP numbers for no reason?

While what DJmeister was saying was simply based on his own fanboyish hopes and one site out of dozens having a differing viewpoint.

Anyone who's argueing based off that... or based on the context of the conversation (since PR talk often switches and throws up different stuff....) had nothing to stand on.

The only one who's had a convincing arguement to not take what was reported Kaz said at his word is Godot.

This is rediculous. It's funny to me how people are screaming how sony fans spin everything and are trying to cover their own asses when at least half of this thread is Xbox fans screaming how LBP is overtracked, a flop, and how wrong vgchartz is. I'll tell you right now, that the sony fans aren't the only ones throwing crap around in this thread. Xbox fans have already attacked this game every chance they've gotten and this thread would not have gotten to 13 pages without people on both sides fanning the flames of war. All I know is that when there was good evidence for games such as GeOW 1 and 2 being overtracked just a month or two ago a thread about that was dismissed quickly and ended at a page or two and just look at this. It's epic failure on both sides. Sickening. Shut up all of you and just go play games, we are gamers! I think this has gone on long enough with obvious agendas on each side. Just wait for further information to be given and comment then.

Argument may seem silly, i'll admit that I myself found it to be that way at times, but I also find it silly for anyone to think these are recent shipped numbers. I just can't get them to add up right.

This all became worse once you said "userbase" meant "shipped to retail" and as I said, earlier this week "userbase" on this site meant "sold to customer".

*sigh*
