That's because the standard PS3 now comes with GT5:P bundled for free, there is no longer a non-bundled PS3 for sale in Japan. The other 8k will be premium bundles such as LBP, WE 09 etc.

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

Seems like I was pretty accurate with my WKC prediction. Although a lot of people sure are dissapointed now I believe, this game was claimed to be the "PS3's FFVII" and "A game the whole Japan awaits to buy a PS3 for". And looks like it just cant live up to all these .. expectations.

Great hardware numbers all around, but software is low, nothing big premiered this week, and games don't tend to have strong legs in Japan (with a few exceptions, like Monster Hunter and Wii _)
