Twilight Princess. I liked the art direction better. WW was a very fun game though also.

Bet between Slimbeast and Arius Dion about Wii sales 2009:

If the Wii sells less than 20 million in 2009 (as defined by VGC sales between week ending 3d Jan 2009 to week ending 4th Jan 2010) Slimebeast wins and get to control Arius Dion's sig for 1 month.

If the Wii sells more than 20 million in 2009 (as defined above) Arius Dion wins and gets to control Slimebeast's sig for 1 month.

The only thing I thought WW had going for it were the great visuals. I really couldn't stand the kiddie crap of it though, and it by far the esiest Zelda game to date, there was just no challenge. At all.

No challenge is the case for all the Zelda 3Ds I am afraid. I recently did a replay of both OoT and Majora's Mask (been a few years since the last time) and I wasn't close to dying even once.

First time I played Twilight Princess I died once, when the first twilight portal opened and the three (maybe it was two) monsters fell out and I only had 3 hearts (before Midna told me to hold "B" they had already taken 2.5 of my hearts). Only hard part of Twilight Princess is the Fairy Dungeon thing with a gazillion levels, apart from that no challenge. Only difference between Wind Waker and the others is that instead of maybe being down to 1/3rd of your life on the worst in the others in Wind Waker you would rarely get to 50%. But dying, no.

Exception might be the Water Temple boss in Majora's Mask if you mess up and don't have enough potions/fairies.

Zelda hasn't been hard since Zelda II on NES. THAT is hard.

Twilight Princess, I suppose.

The next Zelda that I want to play is The Minish Cap, because in the Zelda Retrospective over at Game Trailers they say that The Minish Cap is chronologically the first Zelda game as it deals with The Legend of Gustave. The Last Zelda game I played to completion was Ocarina of Time back in 2002. I would have played The Windwaker to completion, but I've never had enough money at one particular point in time to get a link cable and Zelda: A Link to the Past for GBA, and I feel that I wouldn't want to complete it without all the bells and whistles that brings to it, so I've only played Wind Waker to the point where Link joins the pirate crew and they leave the initial island before thinking I couldn't go on without also having the Tingle Parts.  It remains one of my biggest gaming dreams to play all the games in this series back to back and in proper order.

Has anyone else here watched the Game Trailer's Zelda Retrospective:

Part 6 http://www.gametrailers.com/player/15194.html

gives the chronology and the two paths theory.)

and played Twilight Princess? Their retrospective ends before the release of Phantom Hourglass and Twilight Princess. I'm assuming Phantom Hourglass directly follows WindWaker, but I am wondering if anyone knows where Twilight Princess fits in and if they could say without spoilers. Does Twilight Princess really take place in Hyrule B before Windwaker as proposed by Game Trailers?  They weren't certain because they hadn't played the game before their Retrospective was posted.

Heavens to Murgatoids.

I would go twilight princess, only because I prefer the 3D graphics over the cell shading, so I never bought windwaker. But I do have the phantom hourglass on DS, I like cartoony graphics on the DS, it really suites it, but I prefer nice 3D graphics on my TV :) I'm hoping the next zelda on the wii goes even harder with the 3D, I want something like a scaled back version of Fable II

So you want Fable 1?  XD

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

dam hypocrites....all these zelda/ninty fans claim 'it's not about the graphics' but they rate WW better because of the graphics.

Shit I take it back Twilight Princess was really awesome and did have generally better dungeon design.

It was just missing something in comparison to Wind Waker. I don't know what.

I refuse to choose. But:

I LOVED THE SAILING IN WIND WAKER

I agree. And I loved the sailing part too. But TP is just better if I have to choose.

Go buy Metroid OTHER M!

Wii code: 6775-1034-2238-1634

PSN: birdie93      XBL: luthor93

3DS: 3909-7597-9889

You can add me, I won't stop you!

I liked Wind Waker better, too. I was actually quite fond of the sailing. I loved the artstyle, the humor. I just had alot of fun playing it, it was refreshing. Even though they are similar, TP seemed more like a rehash of games past. Wind Waker just stands out, and it's not just the visuals that do it.

@soriku

aight aight

that was really the main part of the game that i gave respect for

the rest meh..

therefore i couldn't rate it above!

the wind waker, it just was way less linear and i like the cartoony style more
