Forums - Gaming - Buyers Remorse (Games you had to get rid of)

Although I didn't buy it (gift) NiGHTS was a disappointment

Alien Syndrome and Geometry Wars Galaxy (although I sold both for what I'd bought them at somewhere else so I didn't mind)

D&D: Pool of Radiance (PC) - The new one not the 70's classic. Ugh. After Baldur's Gate there was no way I could play this crap. (But sold it for a profit)

Paraworld - I don't have the time or patience to go through the hours long training mode

Bloodrayne (PC) - Combat got too complex with too many button combos to remember, also frustrating and repetitive

Guildwars Nightfall, Prince of Persia Sands of Time and it's sequel, Tron 2 - All sitting on my shelve waiting for me to play them... still.

Probably #1 is Pyschonuats - LOVED the game, but found it infuriating to play on PC when it was clearly designed for a analog stick.

Luminous Arc
Kingdom Hearts
Jak 2
Kirby Squeak Squad

hmm... TES4: Oblivion - I didn't sell it, but I deleted it from my hdd when I realized I hated it after ~ 15 hours of forcing myself to play it

I guess you could say that I had buyers remorse for any game I have ever sold on eBay, and I have sold a lot of games on eBay. Most recently:

Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock x 2
Madden '08
Rainbow 6 Vegas
Rainbow 6 Vegas 2
GRAW2
The Darkness
Folklore
Ridge Racer 7
Mercenaries 2
Blazing Angels
SOCOM: Confrontation
Genji: Days of the Blade
Marvel Ultimate Alliance
Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga

Not to mention all the PS2 games I sold on eBay, don't get me started on those!

Bethesda's Todd Howard "if install base really mattered, we'd all make board games, because there are a lot of tables."

Feel free to add me ...

PSN ID - jedson328
XBL Gamertag - jedson328

Mass Effect (hated the tech. issues, especially in combat)
DoA 4 (crappy AI)
Def Jam Icon (boring as hell, slow fighting, single player was weak)
Assissans Creed (repetitive)
Burnout Paradise (liked the ps2 games better)

Lair for obvious reasons

I hope my 360 doesn't RRoD

Haven't quite had anything sold back this gen yet, though I got extremely close with Eternal Sonata because it ended on such a weird and horrible note that I was so disgusted I wanted to sell it back out of spite.

Games in other gens:
Magna Carta (horrible JRPG)
the first .hack series (just too long and too repetitive, couldn't finish it)

...

Gauntlet 2 NES .... exchanged it the next day as it was too easy.... already finished it.

FIFA 1994 SNES first game I bought on a hunch cause I had spare money.... didn't like it.

Since then, many games cause I buy too many and don't play all of them.... arrr the pains of being spoiled as a kid!!

Halo 3 (I'm not gonna give a reason other than that I ended up with buyers remorse. I don't want any internet arguments pls)

honestly posting with out a reason will draw more critisim, i can buy people not enjoying games for a reason, each person has their own tastes but not listing one makes it seem like your just throwing it out here to put it on the list

Good point goddog

Ok here we go:

I found the singleplayer to short (I expected more) Also I don't like playing multiplayer on my consoles. I prefer "Counter Strike" and other online PC games. Unfortunately buying Halo 3 gave me buyers remorse.  :(

cool i can respect this... I dislike RTS on consloe, but i generally end up trying them though i only did the demo for the last few... rts are a PC domain

Edit: I have to say of the 3 halo games halo 3 had the worst single player, the arbitor felt tacked on, it was too short, the levels were too small comapered to halo 1 (the one i think had the best story) and WTF was with skipping the battle of new mabosa that would have rocked... i have high hopes for halo recon... big fan of tactical shooters

Really?  Even with the "finishing this fight!" bullcr** at the end of H2?  To each his own, I suppose...

For me, it's definitely Hey, You, Pikachu--and that game was a damn present!

oh i found the end of 2 annoying, and didnt like the direct boss fight, but over all i enjoyed the campaign. halo3 well i like the campaign but did not enjoy it as much they seemed to take too much of the choice away and removed the ability to backtrack to pick up stuff you left behind ... and again the levels were  just too small...

come play minecraft @  mcg.hansrotech.com

Final Fantasy VII. Probably the worst game I've bought new for full price in my lifetime. Fell asleep trying to play it (I got about halfway through according to those who finished it). Just an incredibly boring game.
