Takashii, here is a condensed listing of Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo's financial reports for their gaming divisions over the last three years:

http://forum.pcvsconsole.com/viewthread.php?tid=11760&page=10

And here is their uncondensed annual reports for the last decade:

http://www.nintendo.co.jp/kessan/english.html
http://www.sony.net/SonyInfo/IR/financial/fr/index.html
http://www.microsoft.com/msft/default.mspx

It's a lot of information, but the salient points (pertaining to my previous posts) are these:

Last ~2 years of fiscal results in the Video Game market

Microsoft: approximatley 2.7 billion dollars in losses (including Warranty extension)
Sony: approximately 2.2 Billion Dollars in losses
Nintendo: approximately 2.5 Billion dollars in profits

There's a near-5 billion dollar swing in Nintendo's favor over the last two years, and that disparity is likely to continue to widen.

WOW thanks Bod for the sources I really didn't mean it though I was just trying to figure out if thats all possible, but I believed you. Thanks for the info!

how much was the warranty cost again ???

What warranty cost? What are you discussing about? Are you talking about the Xbox 360 3-year warranty that they just did if so, Microsoft extended their warranty to three years costing them $1.15 billion dollars to do.

If your talking about Sony? I have no clue.

That is the oddest request I've ever heard. You want an open discussion (and a touchy one at that) without arguments? Good luck

Sony will not pull the plug on either the PSP or the PS3, no matter how much money they lose. They are both being used to gain better marketshare and mindshare in the living room. It's the same reason Microsoft will sink billions into the 360 without batting an eyelash.

You do realize that the other parts of Sony are already heavily funding the PS3, correct? They've funneled several billion dollars away from their other divisions to support the PS3. This is already happening. The question really is: how deep in the hole are they willing to go, and how long are they willing to sustain it? I think the answers are, generally speaking, "very deep" and "quite a while," so I don't think there is much to worry about, but the general premise is already true: the gaming division has been hemorrhaging money for two years now, and there is no end in sight.

No end is sight, opinion as fact nice.

The swich to 65 nanometer technology will bring the PS3 out of the red, Ibm has been developing 65 nano Cell chips for a few months now. Sony them selfs said the PS3 will be out of the red once 65 nano Cell and Rsx chips are used. SCE will be profitable due to PS2 and PSP when PS3 is around the point of breaking even..

You really need to do research.

http://forum.pcvsconsole.com/viewthread.php?tid=11760&page=10

As you can see, Sony lost more money last quarter (300 million) than they did in the same quarter last year (270 million). Their losses have increased, and this is before the recent price cut took effect. The price cut has already cost Sony:

http://vgchartz.com/aweekly.php

Given that the price cut took effect July 9th, Sony has already seen additional losses of ~18 million dollars, and those losses will continue to increase as more PS3s are sold within this new-price window. This does not even include the additional losses inherent in the European bundles, which are difficult to calculate (And are definitely lower than 100 dollars, of course).

Honestly, Hus, please don't mock people when they have done research and you haven't. It's quite embarrasing. Just for completeness' sake, even though I've already posted all of this, here is a link to the quarterly fiscal reports of all three companies:

http://www.nintendo.co.jp/kessan/english.html
http://www.sony.net/SonyInfo/IR/financial/fr/index.html
http://www.microsoft.com/msft/default.mspx

 Whats your point ?

I never said they are losing less or more.  My point is the end is in sight, its called 65 nano Cell and Rsx.

Why dony you stick on topic and not spin things to fit your agenda.

Tell me buddy what did i say that is not true what, what did i say that you number somehow debunk ?
