i own a wii, xbox and GC

but the xbox>GC is true for me

My personal usage:

60%= XboX 360
20%= PS3
20%= DS

I own 23 xbox 360 games, 5 playstation 3 games, 4 DS games

 System surveilance. Everything from your consoles to your television sets. The digital age is not just for going HD, it's because if everyone owns an HD TV it's easier with the technology inside to monitor you. You couldn't monitor people properly with old television sets.

Same.  They give a general idea but nothing concrete.  My main problem with it is everybody lies.  That an a minority is used to represent a majority.  An I mean a very small minority used to represent a very large majority.  Just not right.

This is why marketing and social science researcher did away with surveys long ago. Oh wait they didn't because they offer meaningful statistics.

Assuming a quality sample, those who lied about playing their 360 for 25 hours a day are offset by those who lied about playing their PS3 for 25 hours a day. With a large enough sample over a broad demographic, the staticial errors get reduced. As you've said, its to give a general idea, and the general idea seems to be that people play 360s and Wiis much more than they play PS3s.

Obviously it can't be that big a problem to you. You are on a site that collects its data in the exact same way.

I own a 60gig (now 100gig) Day 1 PS3. (waited 38 hours in line in front of a Wal*Mart for it. Also waited 12 hours for my PS2, was First in line)

 

But thanks for assuming I don't own a PS3.. I mean whatever makes you feel better..

Still, theres no legit proof of this. unless they go in peoples houses and watch them which would be illegal.

Call horseshit all you want, but userbase is a big factor in this..... the PS3 userbase is half that of the Wii and 360s, so the average PS3 user uses it about the same amount of time as the X360 (although I don't believe it differentiates for Blu-Ray and games)

True, theres no doubt both the Wii and 360 have a larger user base at the moment.

But...theres still no legit proof on this its more like a guess.

Not that i care who plays what, but it seems off even if it is by a little bit.
