Forums - Sales - First half 2007 Japan Software Top 100 - Pure Nintendomination

Yeah Nintendo

Around the Network

MHP2 should fall off the top 8 or so by the end of the year. Good showing by DS, Wii and PS2.

Consoles I Own: NES, SNES, N64, GC, GBA, DS, X360, Wii

And the PSP drops dead with the #1 software ... yeah right ... I wont say , but told you so :P Anyways , I think MHF 2 will drop , even as the PSP #1 afther CC maybe even Dissidia . The PS3 has one chance to enter in the top and thats DMC4 . The DS and Wii will probably have around 80% of the best selling 100 , and from that 2 remaining I dont see the PS3 having more than 3 , maybe the PSP ~5 and the rest will be the PS2s final stretch :)

Even though Im a huge Sony fan , I have to admit , in Japan there is pure Nintendo dominance :) Nice work Nintendo , I admit when something is impressive ;)

Vote the Mayor for Mayor!

Do we really need topics like this that come off as a huge Nintendo fanboy circle jerk?

Of course Nintendo will sell more games in Japan compared to the 360 and PS3. They have a larger install base and the games are less expensive as well as the price of the system. Not to shock you but Nintendo is a Japanese company and therefore they will have tons of casual games that people there will eat up just because it says "Nintendo" on it.

Sony has yet to release many "Must have" system seller games in Japan that would increase sales all around. It's true all around the world, but they are coming soon. The margin right now will shrink as better games come out that the people want and have to have.

The next generation race hasn't been going for very long and time will tell how it all shakes out. Just please don't start crying if the PS3 actually gets a significant boost in sales and makes this race interesting. However, I still think that the Wii is last generation with a next generation controller and really is misleading. That's my personal opinion of the Wii, so please don't try to change my mind by posting all of those re-hashed arguments about how I'm wrong, you're right and that I'm blasphemous for saying such a bad thing here in Nintendoland forums.

My pokemon brings all the nerds to the yard. And they're like, "You wanna trade cards?" Damn right, I wanna trade cards. I'll trade this, but not my charizard.

jjseth, you're calling us fanboys when you come here and troll and bitch about how the Wii won't last and will lose to the PS3? At least we're not saying, "yay! Now that the Wii's major in japan the PS3 will fail!." We know PS3 is gonna have must have games, but you have to understand Wii will have AAA games as well. But don't complain that the Wii is winning by saying it sucks.

no need to be so defensive.

if it rubs you the wrong way for whatever reason, just ignore it.  it's just numbers, 1st half of 2007, has nothing to with future sales, discussion of whether the wii is a fad, or if ps3 is gonna win or lose.

the Wii is an epidemic.

Its all mostly DS.

Can any one explain that ?

The statistics do bear out that Nintendo dominated the first half of 2007. If that makes me a jerk for saying it, then I'm the biggest jerk in the world. Nothing in the original post even inferred to future sales.

Does it really get up your dress so much that Nintendo fans are happy that Nintendo is selling well in Japan and outselling Sony which has had this kind of domination for more than 10 years?

Get off your high horse dude.  I'm not a biased Nintendo fan like some people on this website, but I don't need to come in here acting like i'm all 'tough' and 'cool' by saying that the 'loser' Nintendo fans are having a 'jerk fest'.

Sorry but in the end you just seem ultra bitter that your console isn't doing the best, and it just looks lame that you're trying to cover it with this 'i'm so cool' 'i'm so hip' 'like i care that much' persona, and honestly I can see that it's eating you up inside.
