Being that the old xbox is still getting games, then I'd say the PS2 still has a bright future.

Oh, PS2. Such a great console. The greatest library of all time. Now on your deathbed.

He wanted his son to continue his legacy, like his father before him, but the son is having trouble. Don't let the PS2 die like this! Don't let him see his son become a failure! Have you no hearts?

Initially I hated the console because it killed off the dreamcast, which was in some ways superior- and ultimately turned SEGA into a software house. But since then I have come to appreciate the PS2/SONY for its strengths. My ps2 has never broken down on me and its provided me with some gr8 games. I doubt if the wii will ever achieve as much all round appreciation as the PS2. They should keep selling it though, the PS2 cannot compete with the ps3 in any segement and is probably generating a few dollars of profit for SONY for every unit sold.



Doubt is not a pleasant condition, but certainty is absurd.

5 THINGS I'd like to see before i knock out:

a. a AAA 3D sonic title

b. a nintendo developed game that has a "M rating"

c. redesgined PS controller

d. SEGA back in the console business

e. M$ out of the OS business

i'd say sony should release a ps3 with backward compatibility now

I am hoping either this e3 or the next, sony will announce a BC ps3 for $299, and drop the ps2 to $99 and kill it off the year after.
