i'm talking about PSZ, it certainly was advertised more than WKC, although i saw some commercials for that too.
currently playing: Skyward Sword, Mario Sunshine, Xenoblade Chronicles X

100k is rather low imo. That will put it below Symphonia 2, which is a medium budget spin-off while WKC is a high budget, high hype game from L5 and published by Sony itself.
PSZ? So it's been advertised heavily? Poor SEGA if those numbers hold true...

Well if you are going to say it flopped at least say it right; White Knight Bombicles.
Although if it sold between 125-150K day one, it is on course for the second biggest opening week for a PS3 game in Japan right after MGS4. Hardly a flop.

Only for a hardcore sequel like MGS4. For a new hyped IP it is usually about 60%.

but i'm sure than the low numbers of phantasy star aren't complete.
Maybe it's the same thing for wkc?

oh yea it had more commercials than any other game by quite a bit. I thought that was the type of game that was popular now like monster hunter.
The strange thing was the RE5 commercials, i think i saw about 5 of them, but even the commercial says it comes out in march.
Then there was the LBP commercials, saw a few of them don't even know why they bother anymore the game is done.
lots of dissidia commercials and even the one for the final fantasy potion.
I saw 1 commercial for klonoa, 1 for lets tap, and 1 for tatsunoko vs capcom, they weren't advertised much but they had something.

I think the bigger story is Phantasy Star Zero, that one FLOPPED if the numbers hold true.
