Forums - Sony - 1 game, difficult choice. Persona 4 or Valkyria Chronicles?

Stuck in a bind here, just like the last time I made a similar thread.

By the way, as I suspected Fallout 3 grew on me and now I have dumped almost 70+ hours into it.

I am about to start the Last Remnant but I want to pick up another game to keep me busy during my holiday vacation from work (have off until Jan. 2nd) but have no idea which to pick up.

I enjoyed Persona 3 FES and I am pretty sure I will enjoy this one as well. Then I have Valkyria Chronicles, which judging by sales, who knows how long this will sit on shelves before it gets pulled, which is very very sad. SRPG is never my first choice but the demo in this game was a lot of fun and from what I heard the main game should be much better than what the demo provided.

Should I just grab VC? Anyone think that in a few months we will just get a P4 PES or similar?

 

Thanks. Whatever I choose I should pick it up by the end of the week or early next week.

logically i'd say P4.

Persona 4 by a million. I think it's one of the best games on the PS2. VC is a good game, but nowhere near Persona 4.

Only saying VC will get pulled because my local Walmart, Target, etc... were not even carrying it when I checked in the last 2 weeks or so.

Does anyone think P4 will end up having a new edition with added extras like they did with P3? This is what is keeping me away at the moment.

It didn't take long between P3 and P3 FES right?

Atlus has said that there wouldn't be a FES version of P4. http://www.rpgamer.com/features/2008/atlusinterview.html

 

With that being said, I would go with P4. One of my favourite games of all time.

It's hard to say, both are obviously fantastic games. I think that Persona 4 is the better game for a fan of the JRPG genre, while VC is more accessible. So since I know that you are a fan of the genre I would suggest Persona 4, while for those who aren't fans of the common issues of JRPGs (slower pacing, long stints without being able to save, and a long time before you get to a battle) I would suggest VC.
