I will agree with this lost odyssey is the best jrpg so far this generation. I must say i strongly disagree with the rest though. Lost odyssey has nothing on ff7,8,9,10.

Hopefully they'll announce their next project for Microsoft now.

Lost Odyssey is not the only JRPG which sold well in the West. Fire Emblem sold very well, ToS 2 sells well.

Or perhaps you meant for XB360. Of course, you meant at least for home consoles, as for handhelds, tons of JRPG have done far better.

Meh, Sakaguchi cant make a decent game anymore so as I said......meh. He was stuck in the past and due to that the Mistwalker games did not have immense appeal. He was a good dev in the 90's but he simply could not eveolve his skills unlike Kitase and Nomura.

This is why SE are so important in the JRPG industry, there devs are just too good. WKC is said to be rubbish by Japanese gamers, LO, BD, IU and TLR were also rubbish. TOV and Yalkyria Chronicles were the 2 best JRPG of this gen and I cann YC a JRPG because it was made in Japan. -_-

Don't really care, to be honest. The description made that possible:

"This Xbox 360 game is a joint project between Mistwalker and Cavia. The theme of Cry On is tears, both of sadness and joy. Players will take control of main character Sally in this action adventure, working through scenarios that promise an emotional response.

Cry On takes place in a world where people live amongst giant sand creatures. Sally is in the company of one of them, a creature named Bogle, and fights alongside it. Although normally tiny, Bogle can transform into a giant beast to fight. He'll do so when Sally is in danger. The game promises to give players the perspective not just of Sally, but of Bogle as well. The game will play out with portions from both characters' perspectives."

I really don't care for saddness in a video game; that and I don't care for an adventure with giant sand people.

It was a success, then. I experienced joy when it was announced, and sadness and tears when it was canceled.

mistwalker will still be making games this gen, because blue dragon2 and lost odyssey 2 will be made and released sometime in the next 3 years.

Have they in any way confirmed or even mentioned Lost Odyssey 2? I've heard nothing about it, but it would be interesting to see where it could go after the end of the first game.

But yeah, Mistwalker will continue on. They just revealed that new Blue Dragon game. Which looks pretty sweet, I might add!
