After about 3 years, it's usually best to just start over from scratch, minus the case and PSU assuming it's a good one.

Separate Q6600 system was OCed to 3.4Ghz, now running stock in a mini tower w/ 1GB 9600GT as an HTPC/browser.

Single core right? 7/10 Everything except the CPU is pretty damn high. Unless its an Athlon62 x2.

No, it is a dual core AMD. It used to be the fastest one out there until a couple of weeks ago. Generates a lot of heat also.
