If you read "Ghosts of Onyx" (the latest Halo book) there are both male and female Spartans. However the Spartan featured in Halo 1, 2, & 3 is male and named "John".
The female spartan featured in DOA did kick ass.
yes the voice is male in the game BUT his voice may be changed due to the helmet, keep in mind there WAS a master chick (nicole) in Dead or Alive 4

Thanks, Tekken just has too many awesome character designs in it for me to choose easily though. Never owned a console version of the game but love playing the arcade in the student union.

yeah tekke has cool characters... but I like the one in soul calibure a lot too....
