Why is it that that's all you post? It's more like the repeated "Sony is Doomed" threads by Gebx is the trolling, not the actual news itsself. If day in and day out all I did was start threads that said "360 RRoD" or "How is it the RPG king? The RPGs are medicore" or something of that nature...the posting of the news wouldn't be trolling, the repeated (and obviously apparent) negativity would be trolling.

He got banned for trolling which he basically fessed up to. His article posting was an attempt to antagonize users, and he did so in the most antagonistic fashion. Instead of making a compilation thread, or referencing the article in another thread. He just created a new thread for every negative article he found. Call it kicking them when they are down, or beating the dead horse.

I do not blame him alone though. Those that entered those threads to bitch. Which effectively bumped the threads are equally at fault. He couldn't troll if you did not feed him. Remember every time you respond to a troll its like giving a dog a treat. You are saying they did a good thing.

Nobody complained when there were COUNTLESS negative Xbox 360 threads about 7-8 months ago.

In fact, when Mr Stickball raised the issue, everyone told him to shut up and that it was undemocratic for "All negative Xbox 360 news to be placed in one thread".

So a big "get stuffed" to anyone who wants it changed now. I mean no insult by that to any reasonable people. But you can't have your cake and eat it.

It has to work both ways.

I also note that a few people in here were contributing to the ridiculous amount of negative Xbox 360 news just for fun.

So a nice big middle finger to all who have a problem with Gebx, now you know how annoyin it is.

Stickball wanted all negative news to be in one thread, but people who posted tons of negative news about a console they're known to dislike have been banned before and it is a different issue.

Geb was not banned to try and stem the tide of negative articles, that's just the way it is and they will go up whether it's from Geb or someone else. He was banned because he was doing it so often that it became apparent that he wasn't doing it to inform, but to annoy. He admitted as much if I remember correctly.

There is a difference between Stickball trying to contain all of the negative news about 360 regardless of its source, and a lone troll being banned because he gets his jollies posting negative articles.
