Doesn't sound like they'll be doing any further modding of MGS4 either - from an interview with MM on IGN today:

IGN: You must be quite excited to see what the community's going to make of the additions. It surely won't be long until someone's recreated the entire Metal Gear series...

Kareem Ettouney: You'll get very hardcore fans who will be busy creating their own versions of their favourite Metal Gear things, then you'll get other people mixing and matching with other things. There could be a huge Metal Gear mech piñata mixed with the Day of the Dead festival themes. That's the beauty of the imagination of people – they've been creating stuff that is very unpredictable. Some people take it in a gaming direction, some people take it in a cinematic direction, but definitely we expect a lot of exciting levels.

See? This is why people need to take a damn chill pill sometimes.

So from the complaints by the OP, I think they've now all been squashed.

1)They're moderating all the MGS4 levels!
- If they were, they aren't anymore, as evidence by levels in existence now, and will not further be as evidence by the article on IGN.

2)You could make all this for free! They're forcing you to pay for what should be free!
- Also not true. The paint gun adds significant options. As IGN says, it compeltely changes the game. Not to mention other small changes.

Anything else?

Owner of PS4 Pro, Xbox One, Switch, PS Vita, and 3DS

I'm very much looking forward to this DLC myself. Mostly for the paintgun, which I'm going to try to adapt for use in one of my levels that never really took off because the gun I made was too hard to aim, and it looked like crap, and just wasn't that great in general. But regardless, I can't wait to check out the paintinator and see if I can use it with a jetpack and adapt it for my level

First thing that came to my mind when I saw this news.

Well yes, it violates copyright. This is actually good news, and this is why LBP succeeds- it grows.

its not violating copyright unless its published. Being put up on a server i wouldnt consider it being "published" but maybe some companies do.

anyways sackboy reminds me of stewie for some reason

It does NOT violate copyright. That is horseshit fed from MM.

Do you know what parody is? Ever see comodians dress up like celebs and copy them? Adverts and music videos copying hollywood movies? Fan art in general and so on?

Making MGS or whatever levels for ourselves is perfectly fine.

They only reasons they are deleting it is what I posted, so they can charge for it instead.

Don't be so blind, they are trying to pump money from people for what CAN AND SHOULD be free.

Xbox Live.

Now I'm going to sign into the network and pay for those fucking costumes!!!one!!!!

lolololol - perfect responce.  i wish i had thought of it.  i can't wait for my paintinator!!!

God forbid a company try and make some money.

I remember similar speeches "blah blah create whatever they want blah blah publish them for anyone to play" and so on.  I'm sure what he is saying there is based on using what people pay for, willing to bet if people create there own MGS stickers they will remove the level.

However, lets say that if you pay for the content then no MGS levels will be moderated...so friggin what, that is one single IP, what about a Resident Evil themed level?  Or Uncharted?  Or God of War?  Metroid, Spiderman, Star Wars, Star Trek?  The list is endless.

Pay for every single one?  Good luck.

If Media Molecule makes Uncharted, Resident Evil or God of War themed levels, I'll pay for every single one.  Do you understand what quality is?  Do you think any of those user-created MGS4 levels were as good as ANY of the story levels (Aside from the intro/learning first few levels)?  If you do, you should sell this game immediately.

Like I said before..QUIT WHINING.  If you don't want it, DON'T BUY IT.  I'll be enjoying shooting everything in sight up while you're still on the forums complaining about paying $6 for amazing value.

I've played MGS levels (even today), mario-levels, ghostbusters, and plenty more.

I'm beginning to think that you yourself created a MGS level and that it got moderated for some reason and that you're now venting ...
