If you have a problem with them don't read them. Sales discussions are the biggest part of this forum and the price of the PS3 is the biggest problem it has when it comes to sales.

This sounds like fun. To go hand in hand with your request, can I ban users for saying the 360 is only outselling the PS3 because it's half the price? It's being overused too since it appears in every topic that mentions PS3 needs a pricecut. Also I think I'll start banning users for filling in the Wii Bingo board. Good idea.

There is a name for only-favorable news - propaganda. News is news - and to ban/censor/eject a user because a segment of the site wants only good news is ridiculous and partial.

Want to correct the negative Sony news? Buy the company. The news sites are only reporting what they are reporting based on Sony's financials. And right now, it's very easy to find SONY news that's negative - given the economic crisis. You *may* here about bad MS news, but they won't say nada until the new year.

You do not have to click the thread and truthfully, if news like this gets you depressed, maybe there's a much deeper problem that needs to be addressed. Annoying? Sometimes. But, as stated earlier, there was so much dogpiling when the MS got hit with that $1B RROD. No one on the 360 side recommended banning users and the like. Folks SHOULD be banned for lying.

...but it's not news, thats the thing, the PS3 needing a price cut has been talked about for months, I'm talking about the threads of random people randomly saying the PS3 needs a price cut without any facts, articles or any information and are full of trolls (whether it's PS3 fanboys or X360 fanboys), and obviously the PS3 needs a price cut but it's pointless to say it has to have a price cut now or the generation is over for the PS3, because it cannot be done, Sony's smarter then that.

Yeah i noticed ever since 360 starting selling better than PS3 this happened. When the PS3 starts outselling 360 again (if it does) will the trolls leave again? Here's hoping

There is nothing wrong with having threads that are well thought out discussions about how the PS3's high price tag is or is not impacting sales, and whether or not a price cut will impact sales in a meaningful way; so I think it is an (amazingly) bad idea to lock threads simply because they're on a topic which may annoy a few users.

At the same time, I can see why a "Troll" thread should be locked; but we already have rules in place to lock these threads regardless of the topic they are on.

And how come i didnt hear about you, or anyone that is complaining here, when there were like 4-5 threads everyday about LBP??? i mean, it was freaking anoying too, but nobody here complained about that, right???Or every single thread hyping every ps3 game???

I rather agree with 11ht11. It's either all or none. If people want to lock threads that are "bad" for the ps3, mine as well do it for every single console.

Hyping a game = Excited about that game, is there something wrong with PS3 fans getting excited about a game. if you think there is then maybe you wish that game was on your console?

while i agree there is WAY too many threads about this and everything, not to sound like a jerk but get over it. Just don't go into the threads and post so they don't get any bumps and dissapear quicker. The thing is ps3 is not TEH DOOMZ like everyone is making it out but the price is a problem. We might as well get used to it cause these are gonna be popping up until a cut takes place
