If thats so, then I most likely also used CG for FFXIII. Most of them weren't CG, they were screenshots and not screencaps from a video. Thus, they are gonna look better. The new ones won't be as clear as they could be. Anyway--

I love JRPGs, but I wish more of them used a more adult looking character designs. I have always had a hard time enjoying the childish look that many of them take.

I am mixed about the character designs. Edge, Reimi, red haired dude and the green robot/cyborg look good but I can't say the same thing for the others. The faces do move a little unnaturally but video games tend to have unnatural facial movements anyway so I'll get used to it. If any JRPG has a chance to be as technically flawless as a main FF game, SO4 would be it. I don't think character designs are going to affect the review scores much if at all. Gears of War 1/2's character designs just looked borderline ridiculous and those games got high review scores. If anything is going to knock down review scores for this game, it will have something to do with gameplay and to a lesser extent, story.

yeah SO4 does LOOK better then Vesperia...

I did a FFXIII vs. SO4 comparison thread a few days ago and SO4 won pretty much every vote. So its **** good looking. I don't know if it'll be made out of what is essentially the essence of fun put into video game form like Vesperia was though, but heres to hoping, because SO has been my second favorite JRPG series for a looong time, followed by Kingdom Hearts then Breath of Fire.

As much as it pains me so yes I admit it as well. SO4 looks a lot better than ToV in gameplay and graphics ;_; I actually never played past star oceans because I was a huge Tales fanboy. I had this mentality that only Tales games are the best Action RPGs ever. Now I'll be looking at picking up the prequels on PSP to see what I missed out on.
