Based on what KichiVerde has stated, they basically gave it low score due to it not being hard enough for them.

/Fail

Well I guess it depends what that means.  If it means that the battle system is simplistic and takes little to no thought then I will be dissapointed to be honest.  Not really my type of RPG if you can get through most battles by just attacking.

I would argue that even FFXII had enough aspects to keep away from being too easy because you had to have the forethought and stategy in mind when setting up Gambits, but if they made FFXII easy enough where just setting your characters on attack would be enough then I can see that being detrimental to the experience.

I remember in FFXII there was this one enemy that had a low chance of appearing, but if you set your gambits correctly you can leave your game on all night during the battle while he constantly repsawned smaller enemies and you only attack them. By the time you wake up the next morning you will go from lvl 20 or so to lvl 75.

I agree with what you're saying.  We will honestly have to see it for ourselves.

But if they simply kept it KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid), then I don't see it being too easy persay.  Keeping it simple is good, it's better than confusing and annoying.

Let's just hope it isn't TOO simple, making it justifyingly boring.

  • 2010 MUST Haves: WKC, Heavy Rain, GoWIII, Fable III, Mass Effect 2, Bayonetta, Darksiders, FFXIII, Alan Wake, No More Heroes 2, Fragile Dreams: FRotM, Trinity: SoZ, BFBC2.
  • Older Need To Buys: Super Mario Bros. Wii, Mario Kart Wii, Deadspace, Demon's Souls, Uncharted 2.

There is definitely more to list that I want, but that's my main focus there.

Yep, I used that to get all my characters to 80 or so.  It doesn't work quite as well as your described, you have to be around lvl 40 just to be high enough lvl to not die while using it, and you probably got 10 lvls a night, but it was a very cool way to negate grinding, which I am always down for decreasing.

...

It amazes me how many people care for one jrpg LOL

A lot of people were really looking forward to this being a top-notch and quality JRPG such as: Final Fantasy XIII.

I wasn´t expecting the game to be awesome, but boy the famitsu score is disappointing. I don´t trust them much, considering the scores they give. Level 5 and Sony have time to incorporate voice chat until the western release. Auto-battle and auto-run, lol, I want to play the game not watch it, stupid famitsu. Auto-running would only help because there´s no voice-chat so far.

Yeah I didn't quite understand that (especially the red) but I didn't want to comment on it... maybe there was something I was missing.

I doesn´t surprise me, they *loved* FFXII which had auto-battle (put gambits on all characters and let it play by itself, lol!).

I knew I was exagerrating but I did not realize it was that much, lol. I just remember it being a pain in the ass just finding the guy, then when it came time to actually fight I just put the controller down and went out for the day.

Sadly, that area is as far as I got in the game, maybe a bit further but that game bored me so bad. Only FF game in the main series that I have not finished.

Same as myself, I bought it the day it came out.  The thing is, I didn't really start playing it for an entire year after it's release.

I still have yet to finish it, lol.

Famitsu's reviews blow so hopefully this isn't truly indicative of the overall quality of the game.
