Based on what KichiVerde has stated, they basically gave it low score due to it not being hard enough for them.

Well I guess it depends what that means.  If it means that the battle system is simplistic and takes little to no thought then I will be dissapointed to be honest.  Not really my type of RPG if you can get through most battles by just attacking.

I would argue that even FFXII had enough aspects to keep away from being too easy because you had to have the forethought and stategy in mind when setting up Gambits, but if they made FFXII easy enough where just setting your characters on attack would be enough then I can see that being detrimental to the experience.

I remember in FFXII there was this one enemy that had a low chance of appearing, but if you set your gambits correctly you can leave your game on all night during the battle while he constantly repsawned smaller enemies and you only attack them. By the time you wake up the next morning you will go from lvl 20 or so to lvl 75.

Yep, I used that to get all my characters to 80 or so.  It doesn't work quite as well as your described, you have to be around lvl 40 just to be high enough lvl to not die while using it, and you probably got 10 lvls a night, but it was a very cool way to negate grinding, which I am always down for decreasing.
