what is the average percentage completed for battle trophies does anyone have for : star ocean the last hope international on the ps3 ?  or the 360 ?

on ps3 is as of right now about : 20%

on 360 its : 60%

which version of fable 3 is everyone getting ?

i just paid off the collectors/limited version of the game.

if square-enix releases a collectors edition for final fantasy 14 : online on the ps3 will u get it or get the standard edition instead ?

i will get the collectors for myself if its released, my wife wants the standard.

I dunno I've heard nothing but bad things about FFXIV so far......but rumors suggest all issues should be solved by the time PS3 version releases.....but still I'll probably just get the standard edition

I thought this would probably be a good place to talk about this, since I assume there is a bunch of RPG players in this thread.

I don't know how many of you know about Guild Wars 2 (yes, I'm a huge GW2 fanboy and will use any chance I get to talk about it xD), but it's a MMORPG, and like FFXIV and Star Wars: The Old Republic, it seeks to bring actual roleplaying into the game. It's a classic WRPG setup with a branching storyline, but there also is personality system in place, that will have NPCs react to you according to you act towards them. If you're violent, they will be more scared of you, etc.

But what I really want to talk about is the dynamic events and the persistent world. In GW2, you don't have all the oldschool quests, where you talk to an NPC, get a quest, complete the quest and return to recieve your reward. It's all happening in real time around you with dynamic events. (The main storyline is not a bunch of events of course).

You don't get a quest that says "Go out and kill the centaurs that are ravaging this village.", you pass by the village, and maybe it will be under attack and you can choose to join in along with everyone else who might want to (and everyone gets rewarded for participating, no matter if they're in a group or not). And then if the centaurs burn down the village, a new event will start at some point to rebuild the village, or if the centaurs are defeated, an event to attack their base of operations might start at some point. This is a pretty basic example, you can read more in the official thread (click my sig to go there).

What do people think of this system in relation to the whole roleplaying aspect? Personally, I'm really psyched to play this, because I think it might be the most immersive MMO to come around yet, and possibly one of the most immersive RPGs too.
