I nominate this for Post of the Month.

Might as well not post, since every thread relates to ps3 or sony failing at something.

Im sure that if HOME released on XBL it would be praised all over.

Thats funny.... because Im really sure that it wouldn't.

Why is XBOX LIVE being praised as a service when it offers nothing better than what PSN offers? Answer that?

Never tried PSN so would be unfair of me to comment but I pulled this from another thread, again I did not make this list so correct any mistakes.

  • In-game access to friends list, invitations to a game.
  • Access to gamer scores, games played, achievements etc of other players. Achievements and gamer score increase replayability of old games hugely
  • All XBL Arcade games have a try-before-you-buy option. Only a select few PSN games do, and they're more awkward - separation of "starter pack" from "levels", rather than XBL Arcade's simple unlock.
  • Demos and arcade games playable immediately after download, no pointless "install" step afterwards. Why would I *not* want to install?
  • Purchased items can be re-downloaded as many times as you like, on PSN it's a limited no. of times
  • Vastly more content of course including categories like music videos and game hints not found in PSN
  • List-based navigation of XBL Marketplace quicker and easier than "web page" navigation of PSN Store - e.g. pressing red for Back much easier than moving a pointer using the left stick over the "back" rectangle and clicking X.

Also Achievements are better for the fact they feature in 99.9% of games, have a set score out the box (1000/1000) and players seem to enjoy them more than trophys, .. can you even compare trophys with friends on your friends list .. why would you want to ..

Oh and MyGamerCard net ... also don't microsoft manage (nearly) all the servers so you can stay in chat whilst playing games/swapping games/doing anything ... I don't know if PSN does that ... again I havn't tried it so correct me if I'm wrong don't bloody flame me.

I would also ad, Microsoft charging for the service is a good thing, if PSN goes down, why do they need to get it back up and running asap other than to not piss off its gamers ... heck Sony could take it down tomorrow and there isn't a damn thing you can do. Microsoft has had problems in the past but they were sure as hell fixing the problems and compensating its customers. Its a paying service Microsoft don't have a choice but to make sure its top notch (99% of the time ;))

I really don't see many Xbox 360 owners moaning about the price of live either ... seems to be Sony fans are always stating it though.

Two words, son - NET FLIX. Thousands of movies on my TV without getting up to find a movie - running to Blockbuster and the like. And I get that with my $199 Arcade. NXE just advanced the 360 light years past the PS3.

Im tired of having the same retarded discussion over and over to get the same answer, im leaving this site until people stop posting these threads

What's the matter?  You can dish it but you can't take it?    Nintendo fans are tired of you saying the same crap about the Wii.  You'll get the answer when you understand that not everyone shares your tastes, nor are your preferences superior.

OT: A tough blow indeed.

People hate sony because sony are Dogs. Charging $600 for a gaming console, they deserve every lost sale, and hate that has been inflicted upon them. They will learn the hard way.

Damn, what a freaking baby seriously. Just leave. If you don't like the "anti ps3 threads" just don't go in them. Is not like somebody is pointing a gun at you. Just, grow up dude.... Leo-j of course

Can't stand that ps3 is not doing how everyone, especially sony, was expecting and that LBH is not selling how people said it would sell..... issues my friend, issues

I think everyone has sucessfully answered your question... Got any other reasons why you think that the 360 version would be praised.... or is it just that you can't handle the fact that its not that great?

I am not sure what is more remarkable in this thread.

That people are suprised a blogger for Nintendo Fanboy was not pro-Sony in his sales analysis.

Or that Leo-J posted half a dozen times -- after saying he was going to leave the site in this thread.

Basically, too high of a price point has doomed the PS3 for the foreseeable future. And LBP is a fine technical achievement but is not a must-have game on a system of shooters. Nothing new there.
