@christhegamer
PSN is slow??? huh?

OP - dude, your post count is low, but normally, we have this topic hit at least once a week. Yeah, I own all four - DS, Wii, 360 and PS3.

Well, it's not the service itself (I think), but I've got lag in many many games. Generally, much more than in Nintendo online games.

I own all 5 of them, PS3, Wii, XBOX360, DS and PSP.
Wii:
Good:
a blast if you have friends over who are not gamers. Both Ps3 and 360 have party games (Buzz and scene it e.g.) but due to its amazing control scheme nothing beats wii sports.
Bad:
Games look and play the same as Gamecube, my gamecube cost me $100, I basically have spent $250 to play wii sports.
I have been hoping that since Wii has been a phenomenal success 3rd party publishers would stop making shovelware and start making quality games. My wii library is the smallest but I guess since I do not have time to play the games I have bought for my 360 and PS3 I shouldn't complain too much;).
XBOX360:
Good:
Next gen graphics and sounds, has a great mix of casual and hardcore games. Surprisingly, it has the most number of RPG games this generation. Since my favorite genre is RPG XBOX360 gets high marks.
As far as shooters, FPS and TPS games are concerned nothing beats XBOX360 (its exclusives are usually FPS games as well). The bad thing about XBOX360 Exclusives is that they are generally made available on the biggest gaming console, the PC, after a few months. The PC counterparts are generally better and play better too with no XBOX LIVE fee.
NXE allows you to stream Netflix "watch instantly" movies "already" in your queue but requires a Live Gold subscription ($50 a year) along with Netflix unlimited streaming subscription ($8.99 min per month) and a PC so you can add movies to your queue.
Bad:
Cost, everything costs money in MS world. Themes, wall papers, playing games online, hard drive expansion, Wi fi connectivity. Thats my biggest beef with xbox360. Build quality has been improving however, it still is least reliable among the three.
Disk drive is "loud" I can hear it revving up from 6 feets away when the game is "playing". NXE allows you to save your games to HD which helps cut down the noise.
PS3:
Good:
Value for money, NExt Gen Gaming console and media centre in one. Since I subscribe to Netflix Blu-ray has been awesome. I also have one of the earlier models so I can play my Ps2 games upscaled to 1080p as well.
They have added some new features (motion control) to the controller but like Wiimote not many publishers have made good use of it.
PSN store is pretty easy to use, I like it better than XBOX MArket place, you will find peple saying the opposite as well so I guess its just what you are used to. However, to put everything in perspective MS agrees as NXE is an XMB knock off.
There is a ton of stuff free on PSN especially themes and wall papers that change the look and feel of XMB (unlike XBOX360 where nearly every theme is premium 250 MS points and the free ones "look" free).
Upgrading harddrive is easy and you can get any laptop SATA harddrive for it. PS3 allows you to migrate your settings/save games etc. and everything is fairly straight forward. Wifi is included in the price (compare taht to XBOX 360 where 120Gb hd is $179 and Wifi is $99 , for $100 I can get a 320 GB hd for my PS3).
Remote play is one feature taht I really like and there is nothing like it on XBOX360 however you need a PSP for that :)
The exclusives in PS3 world are more varied than XBOX360 IMHO (but this point can be argued ). Uncharted, Valkyria Chronicles, Heavenly Sword, MGS4, LBP, Disgaea 3 can not be played anywhere else.
DS:
Good & Bad:
Some of the best casual games are found on the Nintendo DS, however, for non-causal gaming I still rely on my GBA games. Most of teh times the second screen on DS is not used effectively at all. It seems most publishers seem to forget the DS in DS.
For casual gamers DSlite is best with backward compatibility with GBA.
For hardcore gamers especially RPG lovers DS has been getting alot of PS1 remakes. FF3 and FF4 are available along with chrono trigger, DQIV and next year DQV, DQIX is going to be a DS exclusive.
A lot of people would argue that battery life on a DS is pretty good too compared to PSP (6-7 hours as opposed to 4-5 I think) however I have to say that considering the performance of the platform it's not surprising. That's like saying my v4 corolla gives 35 miles to a gallon why doesn't your V8 truck do that.
PSP:
Good & Bad:
A truly next Gen Handheld which does everything you would want a handheld to do. Unfortunately, its steeper price of admission ($250 at launch) kept it put of most people's homes resulting in less than half the penetration of DS (40 Million as opposed to 77Million I think ??)
Games built for PSP look and play like their PS2 counterparts. It is missing a second analog stick or rather nub and hence some publishers have had difficulty in wrapping their head around its control scheme but for the most part everything works.
The number of games released this year for PSP was pretty low however it is expected to increase the next year. I tend to think that majority of stuff available on DS is shovelware anyway (like the Wii) and hence I am ok with less games but better games. This year PSP had FF7- Crisis core, God of War chains of Olympus, Star Ocean 1, Yggdra Union, Disgaea afternoon of darkness and all of them have been stellar.
Next year we expect Resistance (with its unique infection mode if you have a PS3 with Resistance 2). Another Syphon Filter, Star ocean 2 and several other great games.
However, the best thing about PSP is that it can play all PS1 games via a native PS1 emulator. There are about 25 games aavilable from PSN store at the time of writing that can be downloaded to a PS3 or PC and played either on PS3 or PSP or both. Price of admission $5.99 a game (pretty sweet IMHO). The selection of games is not stellar but its not bad either. There are games catering to every genre and from casual to hardcore gamers.
I for one have been arguing that instead of making DS games from scratch Sony should allow/request publishers to allow selling them on PSN with no modification required (unless the absence of second analog stick is going to cause problems). I would much rather pay $15 than $40 which I paid for my DS remakes (and subsequently regretted).
Japan has gotten a LOT of PS1 classic games but outside Japan things are not so good. Sony has said recently taht they will expand the PS1 classic game selection innear future.
With the latest firmware you have the ability to buy PSP games from PSN store only (for people who dislike having to carry UMDs) and this helps with slow disc access that caused some players undue frustration with some games.
There is Skype integration, photo viewing, music and in near future GPS.

All 5 consoles! That is impressive.... I only have PS360P
I own 4 of them: PS3-360-PSP-DSL
PS3:
Favourite console so far, great games, great online, great everything!
BAD: probably too expensive, no psn cards in europe
360:
I bought it for the jrpg's, enough said, I'm gonna sell it very soon
BAD: the controller, you gotta buy a lot of extra stuff, don't like its 1st party games
PSP:
Great handheld, bought it day one.
BAD: maybe a little too big, not enough games released this end of year, too expensive
DS:
I bought it for revenant wings, huge mistake, I didn't like the game. I'm gonna sell it too, not because it has no games, but because I don't have enough money to buy PS3-PSP and DS games and expensive clothes =p
BAD: a little too kiddy, small screens, average graphics
I forgot to talk about Online games here si my take on that
- Wii
What online? to date I believe there are 4 games that are online multiplayer and require jumping through hoops (Wii Friend codes @#$@) to get connected.
- XBOX360
I think we universally agree that MS is king, they charge you a fee but if you play regualrly online it is worth it.
One negative about XBOXLive is the abundance of 12 year olds with mine is bigger than yours syndrome. You pretty much have to have the speakers on mute.
- PS3
Online is FREE and depends on the publisher (e.g. how much they are going to invest in a matching service?). Could it be better? definitely but not much room to argue considering it is free. I am hopefull it will get better.
Since, there is no XBOXLive type service here I can not complain about obscenities hurled by the players and no moderation but it is here as well albeit a little less since most players play with people they know.
- DS
Again, DS friend codes and no matching service, everytime I have logged on I get horribly outclassed (My level 10 party with a level 99 party)
- PSP
I haven't tried online multiplayer on teh PSP at all so I am not sure how it is, I am pretty confident taht it is better than the DS.

I own everything except a PSP (though I have access to one). My favorite console changes with the games that I play. In terms of which I've had the most fun with, I would rate them like this:
DS > Wii = 360 > PS3
A rating system like that is very shallow though, since I don't count all the hours of playtime on my PS3 from PS1/2 games. What I will say, is that I've owned my PS3 for six months more than my 360, and yet I own double the amount of 360 games than PS3 games. Interpret that how you will.
I dont have time for all 3.....instead of buying Wii & PS3 ($650), I will spend that on bills and gas. Plus, I barely have time for one console, so why buy more?
I have 3,
Sony Playstation 3 Computer Entertainment System
Sony Playstation Portable Handheld Computer Entertainment System
Nintendo DS Handheld Video Game System
I'm pretty sure Nazna has them all.
