You should first purchase Fallout 3. Fable 2 is a close 2nd

Depends on what you want they are 2 different games, I prefer fable 2

Fable 2 is a good game but Fallout 3 is a masterpiece of gaming. The side quests in Fallout 3 are just as good as the main quest and my first character had over 84 hours of game play. The game is setup for multiple styles of play and there are a lot of different ways to complete most quests. You really should install Fallout to the hard drive if only to decrease the wear and tear on your disk drive the game is huge.

Well, they aren't alike in anyway. I bought both expecting a lot. I played Fallout 3 from beginning to end with any spare time I had, beating it in about 54 hours. Fable 2 on the other hand, I started on and played for 5 hours on its release day, quit when I got Fallout 3 on ITS release day, and haven't been back to it since. It didn't really turn my crank, but I can see its appeal to others. Long story short, Falllout 3 would be my recommendation.

Well I spent about 15ish hours in Fable II and 35 in Fallout 3 on the first play through. The main difference is that while the main story is kind of short for both games, Fable II's extra content is mostly a whole bunch of minigames, money making, marriage, etc. Meanwhile Fallout 3's is other actual stories, quests, npcs, and generally I found it far far more interesting than Fable II's extended play.

That said I recommend you Fallout 3, it's a far better game imo.

Get fallout 3 first. Not that you shouldn't get fable 2 though...

Fallout 3 is one of the most amazing games ever. You need it.

Fallout 3 is a much longer and better experience. I haven't really touched Fable 2 since the first week it came out, and I've been playing Fallout 3 for 2 months now.
