Is this really a shock to anyone?  I mean, Given how well Monster Hunter Freedom 1, 2, and 2G sold, it'd be foolish not too.  And given the fact that they were all ports of console games, Monster Hunter Freedom 3 (port of MH3) wouldn't be too far of a stretch of imagination.

Monster Hunter Portable 2 and Monster Hunter Portable 2G sold almost 5 million copies combined, and they're basically the same game. That's more than any Dragon Quest game thus far...I just knew number 3 was coming...

If this is true Wii really loses what was potentially an ENORMOUS system seller....as lets face it Wii isn't lighting up HW Sales in Japan...

As I said in the other thread on this same topic, it won't go to an HD console, as the Wii's cheaper dev costs are the reason they switched platforms. So, it'll either go to PS2 or PSP, neither of which will affect it's Wii sales.

Err...  This is tons different.

One is a rumour that has refused to die even in the face of the game creator and publisher stating that this wasn't the case (MGS4).  The other is a game whose popularity is owed to the platfrom (PSP) and which has received ports of the other console games in the series (MHP, MHP2 and MHP2G are MH, MH2, and MHG respectively).  This rumor has just started up while the MGS rumor has been around for years now. 

Tons of difference.
