it still has loads of Platinum edition sales to get through

like it or not MGS4 was going to pass MGS3 in NA bundled or no bundles.

I'm not saying it would have or wouldn't have beat mgs3, but the bundled did help.

Now let's take on MGS1 and then MGS2!

They have probably outshipped MGS3 already come to think of it

I anticipate some pretty good sales from MGS 4. It should do at least 25k each week til January.

I love MSG series but reason it has these sells in a faster rate is because it is a big fish in a small pond.

That's not how most games work in Japan.  Japan has a very large used game market (and companies mark down games pretty quickly duo to limited space).  If a game hasn't sold well in a while in Japan (MGS4 for example) than it's only hope is in a cheap edition or the Dec/Jan busy season.  Usually, the games with the biggest legs in Japan are the ones which encourage people to keep coming back again and again (which discourages buying and selling of used games) with great multi-play or online.
