i saw a couple ads for it today actually. It's not gonna sell big numbers in August, if it gets good reviews and word of mouth it might do well during the holiday season.
currently playing: Skyward Sword, Mario Sunshine, Xenoblade Chronicles X

It's made by EA and it doesn't involve sport. That alone is a reason to buy it.
Ubuntu. Linux for human beings.

Uh...you mean a reason not to?

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release. (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )
ads: i'm curious, is it getting placement in stores? like gamestop, walmart.
sales: totally a word of mouth game.
the Wii is an epidemic.
Amazon.ca doesn't have a clue how to deal with it:
Boogie Nintendo Wii: Platform DS
Release date Nov 13, 2007
32.99
That or you order Boogie for no system, no price, but the correct release date.
See Ya George.
"He did not die - He passed Away"
At least following a comedians own jokes makes his death easier.
I saw commercials for it this morning so...they're at least starting to get the word out.
Tag - "No trolling on my watch!"

"But if it's fun, it could spread by word of mouth in the same way Guitar Hero did"
"totally a word of mouth game"
ok.. I hope you're right...
I see no evidence that it will "bomb":
- SingStar is really popular, and has infinite legs. This game is basically SingStar for the Wii.
- This is EA guys. Even their titles that BOMB, do large number of units. Huge marketing budget, etc. This is one of their big Wii titles, to secure themselves a good foothold in the Wii market.
- casual title. Appeals to just the people that the Wii does - that are not "typical" gamers. Even the reviews may have minimal impact on the overall sales.
...
I will definitely be buying it, probably the week it is released here. I hate kareoke (with a passion), although that may be related to the fact that I have the singing voice of a strangled cat ;)
But... my partner (think Asian chick from Singapore) has been hassling me from Wii day#1 for a kareoke/singing game. I just don't have any say in the matter (whether I end up playing it is another question...).
...
I wouldn't be surprised to see it push 100k in the first week on sale - although 25-30k in the US may be more realistic. I have no idea how well SingStar has done there.
Gesta Non Verba
Nocturnal is helping companies get cheaper game ratings in Australia:

Does it really have a good marketing budgett, according to some posters here they haven't seen a single ad.

Buy it and pray to the gods of Sigs: Naznatips!
