How about metroid prime 3 vs Heavenly sword ?

I choose your avatar for 1 month if you lose and you chose my avatar for 1 month if i lose.. thats easier than having to drop your nick and make a new account.

Im willing to bet on that for sure.

Heavenly sword will out sell metroid prime 3 in North america and Europe.

 

 

Worldwide sales in the first 4 weeks after the game was released.

The winner choose the avatar of the loser and the loser will have to use that avatar for 2 weeks or 1 month or whatever.

hrmm interesting bet with Prime vs. Heavenly Sword. Now that's one that I'm not confident picking the winner for. I suppose given the somewhat mixed reaction to the demo I would give Prime the advantage, but Heavenly Sword certainly has a chance here.

The PS3 just doesn't have the installed base so betting a PS3 game against MP3 on the Wii is kinda unfair/hopeless.

This thread is ridiculous.   I'd bet all my money that Mario outsells Heavenly Sword...but Prime...I'd still bet for Prime.  The userbase is there for the Wii, not for the PS3.

And also, this thread's ORIGINAL topic, popularity based on trailers is flawed.

Yeah, those games are getting a lot of attention on gametrailers...but they are PS3 and 360 games that put out a lot of media...there's 3rd party Wii games mixed in there, but they're so-so most of the time.  The big Nintendo Wii games only get media once in a while, cause Nintendo likes to pick and choose dates and information to give out.

So it's not really an accurate measure of "what gamers really want"...
