For everyone that got into the beta, and things concerning SMT Online, I created this thread

Found another one. I like this one better because it has Chie. Added the characters. Still waiting for IGN/Gamespot review.

@zexen, I'll check it out. Finally installed it.

Another review in

4.75/5

"Persona 4 is a very long and involved game that never seems to drag. With multiple difficulty levels, and the option to start a New Game+ to carry some data over to consecutive play-throughs to find even more secrets, the game can suck away a lot of your time. Atlus has really created something special with Persona 4, because it still maintains the freshness of Persona 3, while also being different and in many ways superior. Since Persona 4 is being offered at a budget price on the Playstation 2, there is no excuse for missing this game."

And this is something to tell our grandchildren, Persona 4, was, for some time, the highest rated game ever for the PS2

Can't wait, every day that passes this game looks better and better

where are all the people who say western Reviewers ALWAYS give JRPG's a mediocre score??

if the JRPG is good it will get a brilliant score....if it is mediocre it will get a mediocre score....Vlakyria & P4 did get brilliant scores....other JRPG's didn't.

so its not just FF that gets good scores....I hope that stupid "mentality" is gone now!

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

Added the review. I wonder if it'll maintain a 90+ average.

I agree darth. Someone should revive that thread :P

I found a song of one of the first SMT games (on super Famicom) still sounds badass!

Two more reviews. Only added Thunderbolt in the OP which was a perfect score.
Digital Chumps gave it a 9.6/10

From Digital Chumps:
"Persona 4 may unfortunately be the most overlooked game this holiday season. It's quite a shame, because it stands on the same pantheon as some of the best titles ever released on Playstation 2.

Let me put it this way; I have Fable II, Mirror's Edge, Dead Space, Fallout 3, Gears of War 2, and Yakuza 2 sitting here, all still in their shrink wrap. I can't see myself cracking open any member of that crowd before the new year. Persona 4 is an ace."

@konnichiwa, nice sig. I just beat Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha. Pretty good but easier than I thought it would be.

Damn... I didn't get on the beta.

Persona 4 has been pre-ordered from months, so I can get the art book. I'm also getting Amazon's expansion pack :D

Correction.

I DID get on the Beta :D. Invitation was on spam folder x_X

Gamecritics review: 9/10. Which is a great success, those guys are way too harsh (Crisis Core - 3.5 for example)

http://www.gamecritics.com/brad-gallaway/shin-megami-tensei-persona-4-review

With those issues in mind, the fact remains that Persona 4's mechanics are ingenious, the characters are well-written and engaging, the voice work and music are top-quality, the art is beautifully stylish, and its basis in a real-world setting manages to avoid the usual genre clichés. Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4 is a true gamer's game. Atlus has outdone themselves again and proved that they are at the leading edge of role-playing. As far as I'm concerned, Persona 4 is the JRPG must-play of the year. Rating: 9.0 out of 10
