and have terrible phsyics, terrible visuals, extreemly limited creating components, not to mention very bad intergration with nintendo's online system. Oh come on Leo-J, Boom Blox, Force Unleashed and a slew of other games had great physics on Wii, While textures wouldn't be as sharp on Wii granted, it'd otherwise look the same. Creating components have nothing at all to do with processing power and as for those last two points, GHWT allows Wii users to create and share their own music creations to the world at large, so while there may be some kernal of truth to that last point everything here is way exaggerated. Fact is lower res and physics wouldn't really change the game at all. No reason this couldn't be on Wii. May not be quite as great or robust as the PS3 version but it'd be damn near close enough. LBP is perfect on the PS3, the playstation brand is known to be very friendly with all genre's, the PS3 isnt an exception, just because its 400 dollars and the casuals cant jump on to the PS3 bandwagon, doesnt mean they wont when its 300. PS2 without question was seen as friendly to all genre's. But you're only kidding yourself if you think the PS3 is the PS2. Sony made a huge error in it's first year's line-up and console design making a direct assualt on the 360's userbase while ignoring their more casual base (which Nintendo capitalized on). LBP can't reverse the clock nor alone bring that market back. The fact that other games that cater to that same market (Crash Bandicoot, Destroy All Humans) ignore the PS3 doesn't help. Platformer fans are simply better served by Wii or 360. Can you tell me an innovative game that has sold on the wii? That isnt casual trash? Wii Fit? |
Now I'm not saying LBP won't sell. Sure it will. It deserves too. I'm saying it'd have had even higher sales if it was a Nintendo game instead of Sony game because the Wii's userbase and Nintendo fanboys especially would be more inclined to buy it. Especially if given the level of hype and marketing LBP recieved.
