Last year's PS3 data around this time was 129k for the week. The problem isn't that the 360 is pummeling PS3 sales, it's that the PS3 has hardly done better than last year with a bigger library and lower price. Sales growth has got to pick up.

This is pretty much absolute proof that Microsoft is taking customers AWAY from Sony by having a much cheaper price range. Sony doesn't need to cut prices but they better start buying more ad space and making deals with retailers to sell special bundles.

Anybody using common sense would have realized that the cuts were aimed at the holiday buying spree, not some arbitrary date in September, but you've gotta "institutional" the price in the minds of consumers. I think we are going to see some massive numbers next week for all consoles, as people will scale back on holiday shopping, but consoles are a bargain, as compared to big screen tv's...ouch to those expecting to make money off that...hmmmm.

Holy cow at 360. I think it's also possible it may overturn PS3 in Americas by 100k as well. With Japan and TLR on top again it's even possible that 360 does PS3 by 200k. Seriosly bad PS3 sales for a christmas period.

Microsoft is talking about doubling up and tripling up on the PS3 in the UK in every other press conference, right from the horses mouth. Do you really think it's all an illusion created to make the PS3 look bad?

Never say something is over or under-tracked because it doesn't fit in with what you hope. Either trust the site, or don't, but don't use it as proof when it meets your hopes, and discredit it when it doesn't.

That said...ok, why do you get the feeling the 360 is overtracked?
