We have to wait till week of black friday numbers to see where the console stands... even then we should wait for shipment numbers... remember last year? ioi severly undertracked the ps3 during the holidays (more than 500k if i remember correctly. every 360 fan was claiming holiday victory until the adjustments put the ps3 in front) During regular periods the consoles should have about 900k - 1.1 million difference in shipment to sales. Before the holidays it should have about 1.3 - 1.5 million difference and after holidays it should have 500k - 700k difference

 LOL

Seriously, this year PS3 isn't in the same position as last year.

Do you ever get tired of trolling the Ps3?

We have to wait till black friday numbers because that's when the boosts really kick off and we'll see how far away the Ps3 is then. DUH!

Do you ever get tired of using the ''wait until'' argument?

In fact the boost started 2 weeks ago and PS3 sales were'nt boosted a lot.

You need reading comprehension son. I'm done arguing with you. You can argue with yourself from now on.... maybe then you'll understand the other points because each side will be comming from yourself.

I,d have to say hes not trolling this time. Its not. last year a late price cut spurred sales, and barring one, the ps3 will not have the same christmas

Good I doesn't feel the need to argue with you either after taking a look at your sig it's now clear that you don't live in the real world.

No, I think Sony will fall a little bit short. Around 19.5m or so. We've got a pretty good idea of what the holiday rampup will look like over the last two weeks, and PS3 is clearly trending under last year's totals. Since it has to outdo last year's numbers to hit 20m, that doesn't look like it will happen.

On the plus side, it makes my end of 2008 prediction look a little better. I'll be under on all three consoles, but pretty sharp for a prediction made the first week of January.

My Website

End of 2008 totals: Wii 42m, 360 24m, PS3 18.5m (made Jan. 4, 2008)

Its possible although I think the PS3 will probably pass 20 Million sold ...

How people react to the holiday season this year will probably be quite a bit different from how they have reacted in quite some time which makes it very difficult to conclude whether you will see more, less or about the same number of PS3 systems sold this year compared to last year.

Atma and Max, you're both warned. Learn to control yourselves. The PS3 has a chance of passing 20 million, although I think it will be largely dependent on whether or not we count the week heading into the new year.

How do you figure that? Realistically it doesn't seem possible with the economy. I'm predicting 18.5-18.9 It's been a great year for the PS3 and I think they will come up short of 19 M.
