CoD: WaW (PC) shows us that this was an absolutely massive week for UK, Wii Music & LBP don't seem to have bombed as much as it first seemed. Both should have sold over 60k this week, and potentially even higher.

Interesting. Are the numbers correct? Do you think that Call of Duty: World at War will persist in being number one next week?

The numbers for UK, are really incredible. Never, i thought that call of duty 5 with the 14th spot can sell around 70k units. So LBP, absolutely don't flop during his second week, and maybe did better than the previous week.
With that, i seriously think, that wii fit and mario kart in France, can actually sells 40k during the last week (week 45), and so gears of war 2 at the 3rd spot can have sells around 35k, with maybe the limited edition around 20k, so 55k for the total is not impossible, but it's not the 140k of the first shipment. For France, i really wait the top 10 to see where gears 2 limited is.

Maybe LBP did better in first week? Anyway COD5 did amazing on 360 with 55% share, PS3 version not so much with 31% but 150+k is huge number anyway.

Sales in the UK are up! We should get a dedicated UK chart! It is passing Japan in relevance.

Last week LBP estimation was based on fact that it was below Fallout 3. I actually started this but when I looked closer it turned out that Fallout 3 first week estimation was very rough and may actually be quite far away from real sales.
LBP sold less that Fifa 09 last week which was around 100k. So LBP Seeing how big sales are this week I can imagine that last Fallout 3 and last week LBP sales were underestimated.

Maybe ELSPA awards will clear things up a bit. If LBP last week was indeed close to 100k than Gold Award isn't out of the question (this would be a great result for LBP, Uncharted got Gold Award just recently).

About CoD shares: I don't know where expectations for higher PS3 share come from. Lombard estimation was pretty bad, most shooter games tend to sell twice as many units on X360 than on PS3. This result for X360 is worse than last year with CoD4 (X360 claimed 63% first week sales than).

X360 CoD4 userbase (thus CoD fanbase) is significantly bigger. It's not easy to give precise nubmers but X360 version of CoD4 got Double Platinium ELSPA Award/600k earlier than PS3 version got Platinium Award/300k (January 2008 vs. Februrary 2008).
