Never mention Too Human and Gears of War in the same thread ^^

The story was disappointing, but only because I wanted more answers instead of the 'to be continued' line we got.

I think that the Locust was created by scientists. The COG, a socialist political party wanting human unity during the Pendulum Wars, may have created the Locust as a way to unite humanity. However, the Locust, who were suppose to be a weak and easily defeated foe, and most likely use to be human, ended up being a very strong enemy who is seeking revenge on humans who created them and drove them underground.

In regards to the sinking of Jacinto, I think that was a bad idea that will only hurt the humans in the future. After the death of the giant rock worm, the COG may have been tricked to sink Jacinto by the Queen, the Queen wanting to take out both the last human stronghold and the Lambent who are fighting the Locust as well.  Dont be suprised if the Locust had already moved their headquarters elsewhere and humanity is on the brink of destruction in Gears of War 3.

Also, the COG president and the Locust Queen probably worked with each other on the 'Locust scientific project' and ended up betraying each other.

Actually I have semi-changed my mind, as there pendulum wars had been going on for some time, so maybe the CoG tried to create a special weapon to help them? And then they got out of control... I am not really sure, but I think it is probably only going to be a trilogy, so hopefully we will have out questions answered in 2 years!

Marcus phenix his father and the Queen had some sex....Queen got pregnant, did abortus, the Foetus mutated to the locust...The Locust attack humanity because they made Abortus legal;

I am going to be close.

 I think this might actually be true...

 In fact not really =p.  I am pretty sure that many people can come up with a story like this in fact it has a lot of questions unanswered and the answers are going to make it a horrible story or not;

@ manus, well I certainly think they have moved, if not, there would be no locust in 3, and that would just not work. I assume there is another human stronghold elsewhere, otherwise they would have never gone ahead with the destruction, and where else would they be evacuating to?

I think Chairman Presscott and probably Hoffman know more about the locust then they are letting on
